Hello GPK fans

I don't know if any of you were aware of this.

Cattle Decapitation pre-orders for the new album Monolith of Inhumanity
include artwork of the band by the artist of Garbage Pail Kids (in the
style of and paying tribute).

I am fan of the band and thought this was a really neat idea. I believe
most of the package deals are sold out now but still you might be interested
to look!

For those that haven't heard this awesome band here's a link to one
of their new tracks:

They're alright, for vegan-post-hardcore/metal. That's really cool though, that GPK are still getting their due.

good post, i had seen this on the gpkug site and never thought to mention it here, but for those interested, the art is done by tom bunk, which has been doing gpk since the beginning. i have yet to listen to this group though, but will give them a shot

Sorry guys not feeling the love for this band, kinda remind me of a mix between Cradle of Filth and Agoraphobic Nosebleed.

I mean, it fits into all of that Baroness, Teeth of the Hydra, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, etc...

I like Pig Destroyer more, but I digress.
The fact that a metal band is utilizing the artwork, is cool in my book.

The Grindcore side of the band definitely nods towards Agoraphobic Nosebleed
and Pig Destroyer. As you mentioned there are also some Black Metal things
going on, especially in tracks like Kingdom of Tyrants.

While this band hasn't had an excellent recognition since 1998 I think with
this album, its such a hybrid of styles, they will get mild success. Some
reviewers are already dropping claims like 'Album of the year (so far)'.
I can't wait to hear it all.

Guest vocals from Mike Majewski of DEVOURMENT (guest vocals on "Projectile
Ovulation"), Lenard Leal of CEPHALIC CARNAGE (backing vocals by on "A Living,
Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat")

I agree the main concern (music taste aside) is this band is commissioned
the GPK artwork. Sick! What more appropriate for a band that put out an album
cover like 'Humanure' (see photograph of my vinyl).

The artwork for both is awesome and comes with the obligatory indecipherable name logo

Yeah, it was cool as hell.  She said I left you a surprise on your computer and when I got home, there was a pack there--didn't even know about them.

I know you don't want to get rid of them since they were from your daughter. But if you should ever come across a second set for sale/trade LMK!

Will do.  If she sees them play again, I'll tell her to grab a pack. I was going to suggest their website but it says "out of stock" >-<
