Did Ganesha get a "battle card" of his own?

I'm kinda noticing through the stuff I'm going through that it looks like he didn't...also noticing only one Herne the Hunter card too, and that one being the fact variant. I'm guessing with that in mind it means to boot the fact-free cards were exclusive to the Cauldron, while the "fact" versions were released at a later time? (Since they advertise the "series-3 super scaries" on the back)

I'm actually quite curious now why Ganesha got such odd treatment, namely when you consider how rare the orange figure is.

In fact...why the heck did Herne? He's British folklore, not Hindu. And there sure wasn't a problem with Spring-Heeled Jack.

Nah if that was the case you'd have heard about it somewhere. Hell, just look at Pikachu: it was news just because some dude decided to whack him with a sword in effigy. It's a shame Matchbox did all these inconsistencies with their stuff though: you can't really knuckle down and say "I'm going to get every character in just these color or certain type of card" since 90% of the time, they weren't available like that :\

I'm curious in all this too though if the UK banned series 3 figure got his own card too now...

No, there was never a Ganesha "Battle Card".

And you're correct: the Herne The Hunter "Battle Card" was only issued in 1 of 2 variants - the so-called "fact variant".

I'm unsure which of these 2 variants came with the Cauldron; perhaps both, at different times. I wonder where the other variant came from, if not from the Cauldron. My best guess is that the other "factless variant" Battle Cards variant came inside single-packs like this:

What the hell is that?! :D

In all my years of collecting MIMP, I've NEVER EVER seen any Series 2 single packs!

The only way I ever managed to grab a hold of any S2 Battle Cards was in pack of two (Warlock & Ancient Gorgon I think?) Rather like The Beast & Witch Battle Card Game set for Series 1 with usual dice but only 22 playing cards as far as I recall. ;)

That's also the only Series-2 single-pack that I've ever seen (besides this one - which is a different, cereal-premium type: post #231039).

I assume that such S2 single-packs were probably sold individually in stores, out of a cardboard counter-top display-box like this one: post #226595.

I wanted that S2 single-pack sooooo badly, but I accidentally missed the bidding on it - and it sold for for a ridiculously low price: about 1.5 GBP. I've asked the seller whether they have anymore, and they said they'd notify me if they found anymore, but no luck so far.

I've ALSO only seen seen one of these in all my years of collecting:[attachment=26693:e4ce__Ph...oLevels_.jpg][attachment=26692:e4ce__Se...leCards_.

Because this is the only deck of S2 Battle Cards that I've ever seen, I assumed that such decks were only available from inside the "Cauldron".

If these S2 Battle Card decks were ever sold in stores by themselves (without the Cauldron), then I'd like to know about it. If so, they would have been sold in Britain, and possibly also in Australia, but doubtfully elsewhere. Andy? Anyone else?

Yep, seeing that deck of S2 Battle Cards sure brings old memories of my 5 year old self flooging in! ^_^

Although I don't exactly remember what other character combinations were issued back then. Apart from those snapshots you've got, I only ever seen the Warlock & Ancient Gorgon set in shops but certainly not the Cauldron. Still, I'd love to purchase a deck of S2 Battle Cards on ebay some day if anyone out there is willing to sell one of these rarities of course! :)
