Hey folks,

I haven't been to these forums in a few years, but the other day my MIMP habit kicked in again! :D

When I was young I had the 1990's black Mountain display piece. I loved it! but at some point, when last I moved out of home I guess, the mountain disappeared. Thankfully my figures remain.

But the topic I wanted to discuss today is the 2006 Haunted Mountain playset released with the UK line. I never owned this, & while I have checked for it on eBay a few times I have yet to see one being sold.

Posted Image

Is it an extremely rare set? or perhaps a really popular set?

If anyone has a pic of their monsters in the playset, please share.

If anyone can help me get this playset, please let me know.

I was actually wondering if this thing really exists at all. I've never seen one on ebay or elsewhere.
The closest thing I have seen is the skull carrying case, which you can grab on ebay right now.

I thought these did not Exist saw no stores ever selling them and that one one with two Figures you shown you could not get in any other Product in UK.

The playset has a later Print run (That I did see in Stores)that comes with two diffrent figures that could be found in four packs. The box of this for its monster checklist has like 6 figures missing from it.

This is because they major screwed up with the Toy line in the UK a few figures was never sold in the UK in anyway. :wallbash:

I bought a couple of these last year if I recall correctly. I sold them on eBay as I decided I didn't much want to collect MIMP G2.

The ones I sold had Vampire and Hobgoblin in I think? Different to the one in the picture, which I believe has Ghost and Vampiress.

Good Grief!!

So this auction ended at 7:36am this morning here in Australia.

I had contacted the seller as they had said no international customers, & she told me she was happy for me to bid.

I have to be at work at 7:30, so I flew to work & turned the computer on...computer was annoying slow & I was sure I would miss out. Luckily I got to the eBay page with 1 minute left to spare & I quickly put in a large bid for the item.

However my bid did not go through - 'You cannot bid on this item as you are outside the available shipping zone' or some such.

I was devastated.

**

There are a few more on eBay UK. I have asked a buddy from the UK to try & win it for me....save further hassles with eBay.

If the seller has the "Don't allow bids from people living in countries I don't sell to" box ticked (or whatever it's called) on her preferences, then they'd need to add you to an approved bidder list in order for you to bid.

I wouldn't worry though, this thing crops up all the time.

Yeah, I think I will be able to get one of them on eBay UK at the moment.

This is a bit off topic, but I didn't want to start another thread...in regards to the original series, did anyone buy a second black Mountain display piece to use for their series 2 & 3 figures? I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to make some new labels to stick in the name spaces.

As I mentioned above, my mountain disappeared when I moved out of home years ago. My mother swears she did not throw it out... :glare:

Seems difficult to get one of the original mountains. They are on eBay but it states the item is too big to ship internationally, & I know there are size restrictions on parcels.

Anyone have a pic of series 2 & 3 figures on the mountain?

They used to have these in a clearance/discount shop near my house a couple of years ago. Stacks of them, £4 a go. For some reason I didn't think that buying one would be a good idea. C'est la vie.

Woo hoo!

My UK buddy won me one of the 2006 Mountains on eBay for the pricey sum of.....99p!

Next I think I will have to sweet talk some of the US eBay sellers with the original black mountain, see if I can get them to ship internationally.

It's a shame they did not release the Haunted House that was advertised for the original line. Though I do still have the bumbag....it's right here in front of me.

Fairly sure that was released in the UK too. Certainly they crop up regularly on eBay UK. Don't bother though, it's a flimsy piece of plastic crap.

Plastic crap, yes, but what a wonderful piece of flimsy plastic crap it is. I remember one birthday being in Toys 'R Us, and I had a choice between a MIMP mountain and a coffin that could transform into a car. I went for the coffin, needless to say.

That 'flimsy piece of crap' was one of my favourite things in the world when I was young!

And it will be again. :D

As I said above, my original disappeared when I moved out of home back in 2000.
