Here is a list of all the monsters that are being sold as of now. 3 monsters are not available in the U.K. but hopefully they all will be available when they finally come to the U.S.

One monster (Grim Watcher) is completely new, and one monster (Headless Man) is is one of the fabled "lost 15" which were numbed #82-96 and were most likely never produced.

IF they ever make it to the US the missing figures may well be available.

Australia only got the Maniacs, Ghosts, Dead & Sea Monsters but they did get the missing figures!!

The missing figures are available, I think they may be AU packaging because the only seller I've seen that has them is in AU (but I've never seen them in stores), the packs with the missing figures go for $50+ though, and the reaper came with the colluseum playset thingy, which was really low quality crappy crap. I've seen blister packs with sturdier plastic. Did I mention it was crap? Ugh. someone already said that.

Wow, I can't read properly today, AU actually got all the figures, apparently, with humanoids, beasts, winged, ancients being more common and available in most stores that sell toys, but I never saw the other ones anywhere other than eBay.

OH, and there's some pretty funky spelling discrepencies between the playing cards and the website and the back of the packaging - boogey man/bogeyman that kind of thing.

yes, I did notice that Australia also got the other groups after I posted.

the packs with the missing figures came in different packaging though and only displayed the Maniacs, Ghosts, Dead & Sea Monsters on the back. Maybe they were a test run? They also had different (better) accessories to the UK release.

really? thanks for letting me know, so the UK missing figures were in the Australian series 2. It's a shame you can't find a store that stocks them, you could make some nice $$$

I assume so - the line is dead. Very dead. I don't see why it would be revived for any reason.

I do however want to know why the hell the mimp relaunch died when 'puppy in my pocket' 'kitty in my pocket' and 'jungle in my pocket' survived. I really don't see how that works at all. The puppies and kitties are inferior in every way, the only difference is they're marketed at girls rather than boys.

I think the little moster viewer thing was a mistake. A neat idea I suppose, but I mean, being included with every pack? You're basically paying for the same thing over and over and over.

Now the question is, is it worth it to pay the overseas shipping and try collect them all now, or wait and see what happens and possibly have to pay more later because they sold so poorly and have become more rare?

Not every pack, here in AU there were 4 packs without lights and 3 packs with a light taking the space of the 4th figure.

Would have been more collectible if there were variations in the numbers, and more collectible again if the toys came in blind packs.

Either way, if you're after the AU '1st series' I can sell you a full set of sexy sealed 4 packs (no lights included)

I think this may be the Australian Series 1 packaging

If you're asking whether the boxed-sets in your photo are by Corinthian then, yes, those are definitely by Corinthian.

No, I was asking what you meant by 'corinthian' - these don't have that marked on them anywhere and I hadn't heard the term explained before.

And you're welcome!

If anyone wants a few of the sealed boxes of AU 'corinthian' mimps, I've got a whole bundle I'm willing to trade, all series 1 so none of the missing figures or anything.

In that case, we need to come up with a name for this new line of MIMP figures. We can't call them the "Corinthian" line, because Corinthian apparently only handled the U.K. products - not those from other countries. My best idea is to call them the "2006" line, although this is a bit confusing since these figures were produced from 2006-2008 and probably onward. Suggestions?

My suggestion would be to just take a page from the book of Transformers collectors and call the original figures "generation 1" (or G1) and the newer line G2.

You have my vote

Generation 2 Monster in my Pocket. It has a nice ring to it.

I was originally calling them 'modern mimps'.

I think that sounds pretty cool - I'm working on a Toypedia entry so I shall refer to them as Generation 2 unless this thread comes up with a better suggestion

You could always call the peruvian and mexican ones 'Generation X' seeing as they're non-standard, or whatever you want to call it. Generation 1a would possibly be a better way to say it.

I'm not sure whether to list the "sub-generations" in chronological order, or to instead put the Peruvian figures as the last "sub-generation" because they're so radically different.

Here's a better idea
G1 is the regular release
G1f is the fluro release
G1p is a premium colour (boardgame etc)
G1M is the mexican release
G1P is the peruvian release

Means you don't have to know any dates, just countries of origin or whatever. The M or P could be replaced with an appropriate country acronym. Like... G1MEX or something.

I'd also like to point out that if G1 encompasses all the 'classic' series, then we're going to need to make it;

G1S1, G1S2 etc. and for the modern things it would need G2S1UK, G2S1AU, G2S2AU etc.

I just discovered a G2 items on eBay which I've never seen before - a display case:
http://cgi.ebay.co.u...id=p3286.c0.m14

The seller is from The U.K., so it's possible that the display case is also from The U.K.

Can anyone give me any information about this G2 display case??

nice find Brojo! This item is definitely on my watch list now ;)

As you may have already noticed (and as "PSluitt" recently pointed out), Catoblepas is included among "The Winged" even though it doesn't have any wings.

Has anyone else been puzzled by the fact the the Cyclops figure has 2 eyes instead of just 1? That means it's not even a cyclops at all! DUH!!!

Photo borrowed from Toypedia: http://minifigures.b...-pocket-g2.html

It puzzled me for ages! in fact, it is just one eye with a pupil in the middle..frowning. The not great paintwork makes it look like two eyes without pupils.

I was really hoping that someone would buy that G2 display in order to trade it to me, but if it ends up in the collection another LRG member then please post more and/or better photos of it. Thanks in advance.

Also, I'm still seeking any information about this G2 display.

unfortunately the trail has run cold on this display - it was purchased from a boot sale!

I am sorely tempted to bid on it though....either way I too would love some nice hi-res pics (for Toypedia)
