I am thinking it means BB/LB in a more "wild animal" form. Or anything similar?

the idea is that the charachters lose thier humanoid properties, like toad on a branch eyeing a fly, or sledgehammer elephant leading a heard. I thought it might be a good way for our artists to expand out of their comfort zones that they may otherwise stay in.

i love this idea and started work on it back when reccoom first listed the calendar for the new year.

here's the prelim drawing i started. i've changed the warrior's helmet to look more futuristic and less medieval.

Attached File  fac_18_prelim.jpg   159.57K   75 downloads

this is going to be an 11x17 pic eventually and that gentleman and scholar scumdogg gave me some tips on markers so i'm going to try and get this shizznit colored.

me either. :) gonna go get those markers tomorrow after work. PAYDAY!!! i should have rescanned the new drawing so you could see how cool the warrior looks now. less like frank frazetta's death dealer, and more like what you'd expect a futuristic warrior to look like. gonna start working on the final size tonight.

Awesome job bro!

Thanks guys! I really enjoy thinking up the ideas for these contests now. This one i did last night at work. It was fairly quiet as England were on tele getting beat by spain (don't anyone tell Galthisan - he might get upset :) ) I definately think i will enter every one of these contests as they are great fun and the artwork submitted by the other members is amazing. i cannot believe there are so many talented artists all under the one roof! :(

So is it viable to use MIMP figures that have animal characteristics for this competition?
For example: Chimera (lion, goat, snake), Sebek (alligator), Ganesha (elephant).

Battle Beasts / Laser Beasts I am not so familiar with, but after some homework I have
few a ideas up my sleeve :D

Just wondering what is possible!?

Gutted to have missed the Challenge involving Capcom! (any chance of another to
celebrate the release of Street Fighter IV)?

you really can do what ever you like. the challenge guidelines are just that, a guideline. you could draw a picture of a basketball drinking from a beer can really. but keep in mind, too much deviation from the guideline may hurt your votes.
