Compared with the BNS2 card box in the pic, these figures appear to be under or right at 2 inches. My custom painted cheap toys are incredible. As long as the paint apps are done well, I think these are going to be sick also! They'll look great mixed in with a collection of the original monochromatic toys Posted Image I wonder what their ideas may be for packaging?

If they are full painted I just hope I can find something to strip the paint and not mess with the plastic. Will wait to a full on announcement to decide on the series though.

This is exciting, but I agree with what others have said about the paint. I don't know why mono figures look so much cooler to me, but they do. I'm sure I'll buy them either way though.

I am interested... I have never been huge into GPK CT, but it could be cool. I am typically on board with Eric's opnion that painted minis suck, but I want to see which figures they choose to do, before getting carried away.

On the other hand, the more minis available in the market, the better, IMO.

If people are looking for a safe way of stripping paint I'd recommend Simple Green. I've used dozens of solvents over the years and it has proven to be the safest and most effective. When they're out and I get a double I'll try it and post the results.

I couldn't agree more

Mono color figs allow you to focus on the sculpt and because of it the scuplt carries more weight. The artist is left with the three dimensional to convey what he'd/she'd like. Though limiting in one aspect, this can often result in more refinement of the medium and a less distracting result.

If original CT's had been produced in a painted or multi-color format... Would we have the sweet variation of colors that have been produced... neon, novos... CINNAMON? Doubtful.

Not to mention that single colors are the Cheap Toys legacy...

I wonder if these are released if they will even be called cheap toys. I kinda doubt they will be sold the same way, maybe along the lines of the magnets and sold with gummy candy. Plus im sure they arent gonna be cheap.

As far as size, the figures in that pic are between 1.5 and 2 inches.

Yeah I never saw the cheap toys when I was a kid, though that was definitely something I always wished existed. So hopefully this time around I'll be able to snag some.

Very cool to see a closeup after that teaser pic. I'm assuming by this point, based on that new Facebook post, that new Cheap Toys are actually going to happen, so here's hoping they release them in both unpainted and painted variations. Everyone would be happy then.

That's what I'm hoping for, painted figures with mono chasers, or vice versa.

Mono or colored I'm glad they're coming back; I do love Cheap Toys but since I'm late in the game the value is refraining me from collecting them (had the cards as a kids but never knew of the figures).

Those will allow me to jump on that collection!
