Hey fellow LRG enthusiasts! Just thought I'd drop by to share with you all what I got from eBay UK this morning.

https://www.ebay.co....872.m2749.l2649

Won it for a reduced price, but originally offered £50 for it as the listing price was £80!!

Truth was, the seller already had an offer of £60 from someone in Denmark but didn't want the hassle of sending it over there so he sent counter offer to me instead. All I can say is that it's been such a long time coming trying to snare a Mini Boglins blister pack (from any tribe). Would've preferred if one of the pink figures was a different colour but am overall very pleased. ^_^

One thing I need to clarify though, is Spy Minx only available in black? I ask because I only ever see him in this colour. I'm also keen to know if any of you lot have a sealed blister pack from either of the 1994 tribes. If not, what's your most treasured loose figure in your Boglin collection?

:thanks:

Boglins continue to appreciate in value! I paid £4.20 for my sealed Rare Dudes 5-pack in May 2010.

Cool, enjoy!

The someone in Denmark was me... the offer was not £60 though I’m afraid...after sending through a first offer by final offer was a generous £30. I bought a similar blister for £24 less that two months ago... looking forward to when this spike of interest goes down because these prices are daft.

Ah, I might've known somebody from this site would try to steal this away from me! lol :p

So what about this other pack you got for twenty four quid then? Which tribe is it from and what sculpts are they?

The only other one I came across was a 3-pack of Perilous Pranksters on another collector's site.Attached File  toypedia081.jpg   33.63K   9 downloads

A peculiar shade of dark green for Scout Perlock there. Am assuming he ain't glow-in-the-dark!

Really really nice. Funny I don't remember seeing those as a kid. Only the blind bags. Congratulations on finally picking one up!

Here's mine, I wouldn't say the prices are daft so much, yeah mini's are hella plentiful, but sealed bubble packs not so much.
And about Spy Minx, yeah I think I've only seen him in black too...

It is GitD but in the later heavier style of wash that's a lot harder wearing than the green and purple washes used earlier in the line. Minx did only come in black but there were hard and soft versions. Can't tell from the picture but the one on the left is a much more flexible PVC.Attached File  IMG_20180525_233250.jpg   61.52K   1 downloads

Prices are definitely much higher than normal these last few weeks.
But if people are willing to pay it then fair enough I suppose!
I know I spent a LOT on my boxed Arco boglin so I totally get it! It’s just such a sudden spike in prices that I find weird. I’m guessing it’ll settle back down in a month or two...

Anyway, back on topic; here is my tribes pack:

Thank you all for your contribution to this topic. Nice pics of all your minis too! B)

However I'm confused as to why there are hard and soft versions of Boglins like MIMP. Noticed that virtually all the Spies come in black, and ONLY them so it seems. That must mean the Scouts were the only tribe members to be exclusively G.I.T.D.

Gotta query about the Prehistorics. How come they were made in darker colours like Series 1 Boglins? I've never ever seen or heard of a carded blister pack of these in neon colours like the Jokers or Medievals. Even the single blind bags I got in 2011 were all dark colours (including purple). The Spy Dork figure I had wasn't in black though.

The non neon Prehistorics seem to be split between blue and red for the four 'trooper' sculpts and purple and green for the 'leader' types. There are certainly neons as well, but no idea how they were originally supplied. There is a black spy as well as other colours. It's the hardest tribe to get the colour theory down on.

Yeah I noticed that about them too. Mighty strange ain't it? And from what I recall, based on the illustrations of the leaflets, the boglins are randomly coloured with some "leaders" being red/blue and the "troopers" being green/purple. There's supposed to be orange and yellow colours also, but they'd belong with the neon editions.

However I came across this in Google Images just today: http://www.pictame.c...5998_2623570998

Clearly it shows Chief Dred in Series 1 style yellow rather than mild yellow or "cream" as Aikola mentions in his archive of minis. Come to think of it I've never seen any Prehistoric 5-packs before for that matter either.

I've been looking for it in my house, but haven't found it yet. I'm sure it'll turn up eventually.

Haven't been round here much for a while, every time I'm thinking of posting more, someone else seems to die. I'll try and get back to your PM when I'm able to provide a proper response.

Congrats on the blister pack, had my eye on it and sent the link to Toytoad as I knew he might like it  :D

Soon as you mentioned they had an offer from a Denmark resident I knew what was going on lol

Yet to get any blister packs for my collection, but as already mentioned the prices are mental and not sure I want them enough for that kind of ball park.

Might remortgage the house If I see a sealer Slime Toilet though..

I found my Rare Dudes blister pack. It's in decent condition, but the blister is a little buckled (the inner blister mainly, so I can't pop the dent out!)

I'm not really a mint-in-package collector of Boglins, so goodness knows why I bought this in the first place, but it seems a sensible investment now.

Wow! despite the slight wear around the card edges, it's still a nice piece you got there Stronty. Thanks for sharing this bud. That's an absolute bargain for £4.20, just shows how things can change within a decade or less. Popular demand among collectors I guess, wish mine only cost that much!

A couple of things I'm confused about this tribe though. Firstly, how come they're labelled as Series 1 when they're obviously in Series 2 neon colours and the only first series figure in that motley assortment is Spy Glup?

Secondly, rather than an entirely new set of boglins, they're basically just a mix of already existing boglins from various tribes put together and renamed the "Rare Dudes". What's so rare about these compared to the Samurais or the Slimes?

So many questions, too much confusion!!

As far as I'm aware the rare dudes don't have the rank marks like crown etc on them like their previous sculpts had.

Oh right I see. So I guess none of them have stickers/heat labels on the bottom with battle symbols on like the Prehistorics then?
