I have heard there is something special about the floating gpk toys. Can anyone tell me what it means when these figures float? I recently purchased some and was told non of them float. When I was giving them a bath sure enough I had a floating graffiti Petey.

im pretty sure all the floaters are UK and canada specific... because of the different material used in making them. they are usually wanted more. they are usually off color from what the US colors are, giving a new color to collect that is... what color is he~?

1st series Cheap Toys appear to have been released in the US, UK/Australia, and Canada. Each of these regions appears to have certain colors and plastic material unique to it. It's one reason Cheap Toys are so much fun to collect.

In any case, the UK/AU had a special release of hard plastic figures that float in water.

To make matters completely confusing, there was a 2nd series of Cheap Toys released exclusively in Canada. There were 10 new sculpts and 4 new colors. They are made of a hard plastic that floats as well. HOWEVER, it appears that a few 1st series sculpts were made in this new 2nd series plastic/colors. These figures also therefore float. Technically, though, these figures should be considered 2nd series figures. :) (CHEAPTOYMAN and a Canadian collector own all 5 of these figures known to exist. A yellow Leaky Lindsay and Adam Bomb, a green Leaky Lindsay and Thin Lynn, and a blue (cloudless) Adam Bomb.)

Here's a concise guide to the 1st series Cheap Toys that includes pictures. (You can also read about 2nd series Cheap Toys here.)

Finally, along with the GPK board that Eric linked to, you can see tons of pics and descriptions at my Cheap Toys Web site. Be sure to check out the Color Variations page.
