My favorite cartoon of all time is Thundercats.
Hands down for me. The music, action, plots, everything...ruled. I believe it also was a major player in animation at that point in time, styling japanimantion/anime. I could be wrong, but I remember reading that somewhere, and afterwards, watched them in another light and made it so much better. Thundercats for me was the start of all cool Japanese cartoons.

The one that got me as a kid, and held on all these years was/is Robotech. Even got two out of four kids stuck on it. My son displays my old collection with his on his wall now. That would have to be my "all time" if I had to pick one.

My all time favorite cartoon series, is Popeye, namely the Fleischer Studios offerings. Those really were far ahead of their time, and are still fun to watch, even if they are a product of their time.

How did I miss that I had already posted in this thread? Ugh, haha

Man Mirai Nikki effed me up. It was really good but just good god was it disturbing. I still think about the things that happened in this anime and cringe lol

As for my favorite cartoon I'm gonna have to go with an anime too. My favorite is Clannad/ Clannad After Story. These were just absolute masterpieces in my opinion and I'm a sucker for the sad stuff like this.

I have to go with Ranma 1/2, I mean I liked plenty of the traditional 80's cartoons when I was a kid, but from 12 on I was pretty obsessed with this show. It's the only anime I prefer in English dub, and I still find it pretty hilarious.

A classic scene from an OVA:

My favorite cartoons of all time, are the Fleischer Studios Popeye cartoons. Hands down, their mastery of perspective and attention to detail are second to none. The design sensibilities were down and dirty, everything was "ugly", and Popeye's world was arguably more "lived in" than any other cartoon since.

Famous Studios' Popeye cartoons were okay, and feature some similar sensibilities, but Seymour Kneitel just didn't have the raw inventiveness of Max Fleischer.

Have to hand it to you ironmask... I listed the one that came to mind, having a big impact on me as a kid... but I love a lot of that stuff, and try to feed my kids a good diet of it as well. The old Superman cartoons are beautiful.

Favorite cartoon of all time is the first story arc of Robotech. Rick hunter, Max Stetling, Lisa etc.., I was a little kid and even though I didn't fully understand the adult themes it moved me and captured my imagination. My bro use to catch a little bit and would comment that this was some serious stuff for a kid to dig and was like those Japanese are weird. Needless to say, it opened my eyes to other anime and made me feel like I was part of a special club, all the kids in school loved GIJOE transformers which I only rooted for the deceptions etc....I was one of the few who dug the serious stuff. Lol and I still dig it today

This was a tough choice. Popeye or the Loony Tunes. since someone said popeye, I'll go with loony tunes. It has jokes for both kids and adults, and the humor holds to to this day!

I actually watched the entire series last summer and I loved it to death. I just wish they would have done more seasons...

I can't agree with your more man! It's all because of copy right BullS#it. That why  there aren't anymore episodes! And the comic were never released in english   .

Im just glad that they released the series on dvd.
