Hi, I just stumbled across these forums recently and decided that it looked like a nice friendly place to join in order to share and learn more about Battle Beasts. I collected battle beasts in the mid 80's when I was a wee young lad and amassed a sizable collection (or so I thought) of about 20 BB. These little guys experienced a lifetime of wear and tear, loosing weapons and arms but they are one of the fondest memories I have playing as a child. Skipping ahead almost two decades I have discovered by accident (the internet) how many of these little rascals there really are. I had no idea that there was such a diehard group of collectors. Thus I have decided to search out and complete a set of Battle Beast figures hopefully with the help and advice of many of the experienced individuals on this board. I guess you can say I am new to the BB collecting game so bare with me until I catch on to the lingo.

Thank-you

Mark

Welcome to the board Omega!

If you have any questions feel free to ask, I always do!

Do you currently have ANY Battle Beasts?

Do you intend to collect any Laser Beasts?

Do you like wearing bandoliers? (I had to ask for Orca's sake..... )

Hi, everyone thanks for the warm welcome.

In response to your questions Grimey, yes I currently have 23 beasts (not a lot by any standards). Here's the list:

Ferocious Tiger
Colonel Bird
Grizzly Bear
Gargantuan Gorilla
Blitzkrieg Bat
Swiney Boar
Danger Dog
Bighorn Sheep
Web Slinging Spider
Crusty Crab
Kickback Kangaroo
Octillion Octopus
Cutthroat Cuttlefish
Eager Beaver
Tarsier Tyrant
Zealot Zebra
Harrier Hawk
Diving Duckbill
Crooked Crow
Frenzied Flamingo
Fleet Footed Antelope
Punacious Penguin
Ossified Orangutan

I do intend to collect the laser beasts but my first priority is to the battle beasts. As for bandoliers...hmm...the only bandolier I remember wearing as a kid was Chewbacca's and as an adult well I don't want to talk about it. <_<

....we're Werdios????? hey we're not the ones who dressed up as the cookie monster for Easter. Yes he did that.... TGB went to the local mall and started throwing cookies at the Easter Bunny while the kids were there trying to get their pic taken with the Easter Bunny. He caused a huge fiasco. The Albino Goats milk Grimmy risked his life to get, well i know what happened....and trust me you don't want to know. Thank-god that that and his urine were the only things he was spraying on the parents.... :D

and let's not forget who won the first ever Toyfair centerfold photo shoot with his buddy Artimus......they used more bandoliers than i did. <_<

So you make the Third Canadian on the board that i know of....we are vastly out-numbered but we still have tons of fun.....just watch out for TGB he likes "newbes"

We do decend into debach and become debachee's every so often so feel free to join in. :p

Omega, don't believe anything this freak has to say about the rest of us here!

He's too busy adding his "essence" to his customs to be able to make any legitiment comments about the rest of us!!!

Besides, can you really believe anything coming from a guy who dresses up as the Cookie Monster and sabotages Easter Pictures for children strickly because he has a personal vendetta against the Easter Bunny for "That damn Long-ears" taking Easter away from Jesus?!?

Welcome Omega. I was recently a new member of the board back in October of last year. I have found this place incredibly helpful towards expanding my knowledge of Battle Beasts as well as my collection. There are a lot of great guys on this board who are much more knowledgable than I am. Of course, for every nice guy on the board, like me, you get some real nut jobs, like Artimus and TGB, as I am sure you have already noticed. Welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy it!!

Geez! I get no respect around here... <_<

You see how I'm treated by these guys Omega!!! :D

FYI, if you haven't already noticed, it's all done with Love & Respect. We don't take any of our rags on each other seriously....

Esspecially coming from a guy like Koppenschvelle... Although the facts about him haven't been entirely revealed, but it's been known to many of us on the board that he doesn't really collect BB's or LB's. He's really an avid collector of the Last Action Hero line that came & went in the 90's. He has a fetish for Arnold Schwarzenager like you would believe!!!! In his room he has posters of Arnold from his "Mr. Universe" years wearing only a speedo! :D

It's okay Eric, just keep reachin' for that rainbow!!!! :p

Okay guys here's my first question for you. Bare with me because it may sound stupid...As a kid I got the impression that all the beasts divided up into wood, water, and fire. So my question is, is there one individual beast belonging to each elemental? Or do they appear under all three? As a kid I remember a friend who had a laser beast that had the sunburst elemental, is this common among the laser beasts?

Hope this makes sense. :D

that must be the all time rare of the rare if it actually existed???

but from my understanding they can be all three elements. they are not element specific.

Well, unless my mind is playing tricks on me I do believe it existed. This is the only way I knew about the sunburst symbol growing up. Does anyone else know of any sunburst laser beasts out there or is this just a figment of my imagination?

Here's another question...Were the weapons packed in with the beasts just at random or did they come with specific beasts? Perhaps these were just factory errors?

Gabe's right!! As far as anyone here knows, the only figure to actually have the sunburst symbol was #1, Pirate Lion, and he was only found in Japan!!! :D As far as anyone knows, there has never been a Sunburst symbol sold in either North American or European packaging.
