I picked this guy up earlier today at my local resale shop. He's missing an arm and so normally I might not have bought him except that I've always wanted this particular sculpt. Any recommendations on replacing the arm? Is it a pain in the ass? The little nub that used to be attached to the rest of the arm is kind of stiff - difficult to move around.

As far as removal of the nub, screw a screw in there that's smaller than the nub. After it gets in there enough to grab it, pull it out.

Boil him until he's soft, then use a small flat head screwdriver to pop out the nub.

Agree with imperfectz as the screw option here is the best and only right solution in order to avoid any water damage to the rub sign.

When it comes to pulling out or replacing complete arms it is true heating up the body is a good solution because the rubber becomes more flexible resulting in the fact that the arms will pop in or out more easy while carefully turning them around, but again in this case there´s no water needed because a simple hairdryer can do the job.

The rub sign is the issue when it comes to boiling on this one. Hair dryer will soften if needed.

Ahh, never even thought about the rub sign.

Yeah, that could be problematic.

I had this same problem with a Gargantuan Gorilla once. I used one of my very thin, pointed sculpting tools (the one that looks like what the dentist uses to scrape plaque) and popped the plug out. It worked perfectly and didn't damaged the shoulder joint.
