Evening me ole china's.

Rescued these great figures today, not exactly LRG. But definitly keepers.

No markings whatsoever. But i would love and ID.

Also rescued H2ghost and some monocoloured ghostbusters figures today too.

Also have 2 little tiny robot things in egg capsules. will post them up later.

Once again and as always thankyou for your help and knowledge.

The monsters are King Caesar from Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, and Bemstar from Return of Ultraman.

I think URS had the Caesar before and claimed it was a bootleg, which is possible. Don't know myself about these two without trademark info (or lack thereof). The poor to average likeness of both monsters might have something to do with that.

I'm not 100% on the Caesar, still, but I don't see a good Ultra kaiju that he could definitely be instead. Like I said, poor likeness.

Thank you so much Boaconda. I love these monsters even more, they're both amazing.

Damn the only problem with this is where do i go from here? Dipping my toe into another subject.

Before i know it I'll be up to my neck in it. :D

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Personally, I find collecting Ultra kaiju vinyls to be rewarding and fun. Every so often when my other toy collections are in a lull, I pick up more, but I rarely sell off what I already have. Except when a mold gets reissued by Bandai with better colors.

My kaiju collection started with that Bemstar, which was an Xmas present when I was 8. They're amazingly easy to acquire, and now my collection looks something like this:

Still haven't got an Anguirus or Hedorah, but I'm happy with this lot :D

Yeah, I used to have the ceasar king figure. I think I sold it to I.Designs.... can't really recall. I think there was some kanji on it somewhere. I could never find anything on it. I assumed it was a bootleg.

Sorry, but those fellas are going to be on my monster shelf, when I get the chance to have my monster shelf that is.

They after Rancor are one of my favourite finds, sorry.

Love the collection twoheaded.

Can't wait to see your monster shelf, when it appears :D

A Rancor's been on my "To Get" list for years now - not one of them 1997 or 2000 ones, it has to be a 1983 one... Fussy like that, ho ho!

These guys are from a bootleg line called Super Dino Monsters. I actually picked a few up at a flea market a few weeks back!

Here's where I first heard of them.

What a fascinating little bootleg line. As eleven of the kaiju are still from Ultraman, I'm starting to suspect again that the "King Caesar" is actually one of the wolf-like or otherwise hairy kaiju. I'll have to take a look at the later series to see if I can't find a match - I only looked at Ultraseven and Return of Ultraman last time, but these go from the original Ultraman to maybe Taro.

Gan Q! I'm always surprised how often I get questions about him, but I guess I shouldn't be. TwoHeadedBoy also has a figure of him, but it looks to be the smaller candy toy version. Mine is the 6" vinyl in that eBay link.

Yeah, mine's just under four inches tall, he came in a set of eight similar sized ones. He's my third favourite!

Number four and seven are very tricky and left blank intentionally. Seven has what seems to be Telesdon's head, but not his body. Four has either a mutilated Muruchi head or maybe Black King due to the horns - I can't identify exactly what it is. But four's segmented body and limbs are a lot more like Telesdon than anything else. Several features on these figures are inaccurate or mixed up, but those two suffer the most in particular as far as likeness goes. And I still haven't found an accurate alternative to the King Caesar figure. He still really stands out for being the only Toho/Godzilla kaiju.

Nice work Boaconda, shame you couldn't identify number 7, he's definitely the most appealing out of the lot of them.

I don't know if anyone had mentioned this but those are Knock off's sold at the dollar store and made in China - my kid has some in the bath tub toy pile...but what do i know

#04 a bad version of "Astron"
#07 is representative of "Telesdon"
don't think #11 is "king maimai" since that kaiju has wings and antennae, but as knock off's these were only representative of Ultraman monsters

Holy crap, that's a very bad version. I dismissed Astron/Earthtron (where DID that romanization come from?) as I figured it would look more like Ghostron if it was meant to be him. Whoops. Telesdon always seemed to be the only real option for seven.
