I personally like the G2 figures better. I found out recently though that they made just about all of the card game figures in series 5-8. Oh well. I dont mind though. The clear red and blue CG figs are pretty cool. I wonder if there will be a series 2 card game with new sculpts. Does anyone know about this?

If they do release figures with the 2nd series of the CCG then I know I'm not going to bother buying them. I wouldn't have bought the first set of CCG figures if I had known they were just going to rerelease them later on.

my buddy FNX always call the new ramenman "tampon-headman". it's hard for me to disagree with him.
i like the new yellow terry the kid, dead signal, jade, hydrozoa, and the red mars... they are all a little smaller, but they are better scaled.
it's the big head thing that gets me. they look like kids.
especially when you have an old g1 figure already that looks monsterous.

Since when do monsters have smaller heads then children? If they did, they'd never be able to eat the little brats. :p

I can understand not liking the bigheads, but it shows off the details of the sculpts much better. Now, if their heads opened up and had Micro Machines inside them... well that'd be cool.

I just got series 5 and 8 tonight (all the other sets were sold out) and some of the figs are awesome. The new terry rocks, along with jade raising his hand in the air. Scarface, the adams, and dmp kevin mask also rock. For some reason I like the bone cold with the drill looking bottem. He looks like a single scuplt not meant to go along in a posed set....although the montaro that comes with him looks lame. So far though im more then pleased!!!! Can't wait to get 6 and 7. The other cool thing is there seems to be more fleshies even if most of them are from the ccg game.

Maybe the reason Meat looks the way he does is because he is part of the new series. Since he is one of the main characters, they might og just checked him off as G2, and not G1?

Yep, Curry Cook looks way better than he did before. Before he just looked like a weakling.

i cant believe how kewl curry cook actually looks now. he could easily kick arse over a whole load of muscles. the G1 figure was so weak looking i had to pretend he had magical power just to give him a fair chance against other wrestlers, but now he could just rip them a new arse hole

I think for the 80's time frame that the G1's came out in they are really awsome looking and creative

but its about 16 years later and the G2's are awsome for this era and they appeal more to the newer generation of MUSCLE head yet still keep that MUSCLE charm that us older collectors grew to love

It kinda makes you wonder if in the future. Say...15 years from now if there will be another generation of muscles. And if there is will the G2 figures have such an impact on collectors and kids buying them now as they did with the G1 figures. Will there be "ultimate muscle heads". (people who obsess over ultimate muscle figures?? Its hard to say, but there is something special about muscles that just keeps you going back to the toy store to buy more and more and more. I think that the designs are just getting better, more detailed, and more fun. I wonder if there will be as many ultimate muscles as there were G1 muscles. If you count on the new ultimate muscle poster it looks like there are 208 different ultimate muscles to collect. Pretty cool.

Johnny has a picture of the poster somewhere on the site. The next batch of muscle (15 years from now) could be called : "EXTREME MUSCLE ".

For some reason or another, I think Muscles will be around for many and many years. They have lasted about 20 years already.

there is a poster soming out... maybe with the 40 packs.

i just think the old proportion is superior to the new one. the figures just looked tougher... but the new jades, and terry look good.
