Coming soon from Unbox Industries is a full 10 inch vinyl figure from myself and Brandt Peters. Using Brandt Peters lead character the skelve as inspiration i designed and sculpted a monster bat version in clay then sent it over to Unbox for production. The really neat part is that the original sculpt was only 3 inches tall but my good friend at Unbox felt it would work better as a full sized figure. So the sculpt was digitally scanned with an amazing and rather expensive process then printed out exactly as it was sculpted in clay but over three times larger. Then molded and turned into wax for creating a vinyl mold. It was a fun process to be a part of. They are hoping to have some available at Dcon in a few weeks. Brandt is doing header art and will surely have some painted versions down the road. I am hoping some of you guys who enjoy my small toys like this thing too. It's really nice to have another toy coming out that actually has my name on it and any money i make from sales will of course go towards making more toys.

The Camazotz name is pretty neat too. Not gonna spoil it though so you'll have to look up the history behind that ancient god yourself if you want to see where it comes from.

The first image is a vinyl test pull from the factory. The second was a marbled glow in the dark test pull that someone snapped a shot of at Mondocon recently and the last two images are from the actual clay sculpt.

Nope the Camazotz story was written before the 1700's so it has a few hundred years on her work.

Folklore of Camazotz can actually be traced back into the 16th century, which goes back into the 1500's.

Look at Rid, trying to give the Wrinkle in Time author credit for Xibalba, haha

Even some long dead author woman ends up getting credit for my work!
