Just spotted these class A's for sale on eBay. Some pretty nice class A's in there which I haven't seen for sale before. Those prices are insane but for those master set collectors out there, you may be able to negotiate. Pretty sure the green #105 is not a class A though. Anyway here's the link (I'm sure you've all spotted them anyway!!)

Maybe a case of perceived 'rarity'? Simply stirring the community into a fervor for years? Rarity can be created, via hoarding, deceitful means, etc. For all we know a single collector/hoarder could be sitting on a boxful of them. I don't know and can only speculate. Unless someone invents a Purple Claw detector and runs it over every inch of the globe, I'm not convinced this figure is that rare.
He sure fetches the dollars, though, for whatever reason(s).
Welcomed currency: Rubber Uglies, rubber monsters, jigglers, vinyl monsters, Arco monsters, Imperial monsters, fish cans....

I have done a few deals with this seller before, and all were aces. But these prices are just nuts.

I have some info on this seller:
I made offers on a few of his figures that I thought were fairly aggressive (between $50-$100 on each figure) and got promptly decline. The seller didn't even counter offer and simply said that we were too far apart on price.
When I inquired about what prices he would accept he would not actually quote me a price.
He stated that the prices might seem high but they are willing to wait it out and are confident they will get it eventually.
The other thing that I learned was that he is selling the figures on consignment for somebody else.
So, apparently if anybody wants these they are going to have to overpay by a wide margin in order to get them (at least for the time being). I have other concerns about how these figures are being sold and potentially who they are being sold for.
Anyways, I will not personally be dealing with this individual any further. I just wanted to pass along what I learned while corresponding with this individual in case there is a figure for sale that a serious collector "has to have" for their set -- at least they will know what they are up against.

Always wondered what happened to him. One day the drama was just removed from the board...

As predicted, dude burned himself out and quietly tried to sell his collection off to a few members. Hilariously, they didn't want to take him up on it. I wouldn't be surprised if one of these dickbag sellers WAS him trying to make his coin back.
Also, I hate to say "I told you so", but I totally called it back when he was blowing the market up by driving up auction prices.
