Man if there was a separate S.L.U.G. section (hint hint), this would be a new thread. But I guess this line isn't as popular as ninja mites (yes, I am a jerk). So here is a recent thought about this line:

The part of me that has to pay bills and save for necessities loves that this line is so easy to collect. Just grab whatever 3 or 5 sets and boom: complete series collected.

But the toy collector in me wishes these were random. The thrill of the hunt is gone when I can just pop into Target and get them all. I'd love it if the individual boxes possibly contained any of the figures from a series, not just the same 12 or whatever. Same for the tombstone. Sure have 3 packs where you can see what you are getting, but make it ANY random three figures. That way there is no sure fire way to get a complete set.

And then everyone would have various doubles (instead of everyone having the same doubles) and we could trade on the board. But most importantly, I could justify buying a random blind box when I stop in Walgreens. :)

I totally get what you are saying. The way they are sold is really convenient, but at the same time makes the process of collecting them a bit dull. I remember how much fun it was opening a MIMP secret 12-pack or dissolving one of those bags that the Trash Bag Bunch came in.

Although I guess it still hasn't been too easy for me to get these figures, because it would be a flipping miracle if the Toys R Us near me ever got a single pack of them (they simply don't carry them at that Toys R Us, which means I still haven't got any series 3 or the series 1 exclusives).

I get that desire for the hunt but THESE are figures i really don't ever want more doubles of. Half of them i barely want just one.

I like the line. Ok, less colors, but I think the figures are creative. There is more to them than just having their hands by their side.

I want doubles, triples, and quadruples of them all! Duplicates makes the zombie hoard more epic. That's essentially what we're building with the slug zombies line. Will work the same for slug aliens and slug monsters.

I've stated before that many of these figures seem kindda boring or out of place to me considering how awesome some of others are, as far as your statment about the sculpts, while I don't collect muscles anymore I loved that I could chop up my doubles and create custom figures, Slug Zombies doubles can't really be used for customs, with such drastic sculpt differences having doubles is kindda pointless, even more so since everyone gets the same doubles and there only in one color.

I'm having serious doubts about this lines success, EE still hasn't shipped my wave two 12 pack, I hear Collector cases aren't showing up as planned and the year is comming to a close and theres about 60 more figures to this line alone that were suppossed to be released by years end, also the so called off colored chase figures mentioned by the creator have yet to be seen in retail.

Seeing that 3 waves are out yet no single brick n mortor store carries more than one wave, it's looking pretty bad, IMO.

Gracias.

See, if they were random packed then PlasticSoul could sell the doubles he doesn't want to fkro who can;t get them. And JetEye could have his zombie hoard full of doubles and vette....hmmm we would need new colors introduced for him (and me) to be happier. :)

But I do hear you about the customizing. With their unique poses and details; right now the doubles are probably best used for custom paint jobs.

I love that they went with the same color for each side of the battle. I never liked the multi-color MIMP and really hated the more than one color on a single fig thing.

I am not having an easy time finding series 1 or 3 Zombies, but I hope they never stop making different zombies. I can not get enough. Would like to see a Parish Hillsbone or something (based on Paris hilton)

My TRU still has series 3 12 packs and 3 packs. Want me to pick up a set, and you pay for it and the shipping cost?

That's the thing; they never showed around my place; hence I was glad they were not rambom packaged. They,re already a bit hard / expensive to get for me, if they would have been ramdom packed I would probably never started getting them.

I could see the fun of ramdom pack, but since I got to get them with big shipping fees each time I'm glad they weren't :p
