isn't "isoldit" one of those intermediary companies that sells shizznit for people who don't want the hassle or are too inferior to operate a computer?

there's a few red flags i immediately see with the auction. number one, they just so happened to take two shots of the non-muscle sculpt, one of which is very close up. number two, they did use an intermediary in an attempt to lower suspicions. number three, there's another figure over to the side of the flesh pile that appears to be of a keshigomu nature.

EDIT: i just noticed that the location is in new jersey, the capitol of all suspicious non-muscle sculpt sales. :(

i hope it's a real, new, legit super-rare. that'd be awesome. and the pic is very convincing. it's got that shine that doesn't seem to really show up on the kinkeshi sculpts all the time. the color is a dead match. i just think that there's a level of shadiness to the auction. fingers crossed for legit.

new jersey, the capitol of all suspicious non-muscle sculpt sales and easy women. haha. i agree with dan however on the fact that it is kinda weird that the muscle in question was targeted for the close up picture. 500 dollars.

i contacted the seller and asked if they were firm rubber or soft eraser type rubber to see if this was a super rare or the well known kinkeshi.

the seller said they were all firm rubber. i don't know why it was yanked unless he who dare not be named offered a horrendous high amount of money for a buyout.

the color was right for being a muscle. we will never know unless the new owner steps forward. if you look very close however, you can see that it is slightly lighter in color than the piece to it's immediate left. might be kinkeshi. my gut instinct tells me that there were kinkeshi mixed in with muscles tho. just seems to convenient that one of the very few that he stood up for the pic was this "mystery piece"

Really, it could have been anyone, if indeed there was a buyout (which is more than likely). Hopefully someone in the group got it.

If this is a legitimate MUSCLE, then these other figures should appear too.
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I also don't think it is weird that it was pulled out of the group. It's no more unusual than pulling out the Claw or a top. It's a very interesting looking figure.

If it is a legit MUSCLE figure, it's interesting that all but three of his colored figures are red, dark blue, and purple. As those colors are thought to be the first colors released, perhaps this indicates that the majority of this collector's figures, the flesh and colored figures, came from first release waves. This would seem to support the idea that SRs were made in the first waves of MUSCLE production but weeded out of later releases. (Maybe he picked up the light blue, magenta, and orange figures in a later 4-pack purchase or trade.)

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Looks like a Muscle to me. It even has that glossy look from the 5th photo. You can easily see some shimmer on the figure. Cool find, I wouldn't think anything about the Keshi looking figure. There were bootlegs of those in the states weren't there? Isn't it one of them kintaro keshi sculpts or something?

I did not bid out of suspicion of paying high dollar for a single figure with a high percentage chance of being fake. There isn't a single figure in that auction scarce enough to be called rare, that I can tell, other that what someone hopes to be the first ever discovered SR of that figure. If it is a new SR Gratz to who ever snagged it, I wouldn't risk eScammers on a hope I would much rather keep my dollars with LRG as much as possible at least I have no doubt of what I am buying.

Best,
Chris

Hm, that's a good point, URS. Yes, Gegege No Kitaru bootlegs were apparently available in Western gumball machines -- and that looks to be one of them. (Here are the bottleg Gegege figs: Lucky Yuckies.)
