This thread will be dedicated to deka, sd deka, the 5" , great muscle and anything else of that size range. i have been doing alot of research and comparing everything that i have to make what i think will be the most accurate and detailed deka kinkeshi, the slightly larger kinkeshi and the great kinkeshi list.

i will touch base on the different packaging, markings, variances, paired figures, bootlegs and share my facts and theories along with some help from you guys.

any pictures you have please send to ryantwo40@hotmail.com

i will be using some info and pics already shared on this forum and naochins and some other sites

Size comparison

Here are some deka still connected to their tree

Paired figures in packaging

Here are some examples of the deka kinkeshi 10 packs. there are 10 boxes in all making the full original set and then there is the later part 11 that I'm not sure if came in a boxed set or only as singles

Attached File  IMG_4037.JPG   23.49K   101 downloads set 2
Attached File  4inch3.jpg   45.68K   170 downloads set 3

Attached File  4inch8.jpg   54.99K   131 downloads set 8

This is an ashuraman variance, which is very similar to the original one. not sure what set he belongs to maybe a later alternate or some sub set.
Attached File  IMG_1594.JPG   161.29K   136 downloads

Here are examples of positioning variances, there are some found in the single packaging
Attached File  IMG_1593.JPG   178.14K   118 downloads

Here are examples of paired figures which are not part of the original set. but just like the original set the earlier are marked with a - and the later with a / They also have letters on them which i assume is to pair them up.

here is a link to the battle royal set http://ulala69.web.i...battleroyal.htm
this was also mentioned here and was said to not have any unique sculpts. but as far as i can tell the 6 in the top picture are unique sculpts. they are slightly larger than the deka kinkeshi.
Attached File  BattleRoyalKinkeshi.jpg   56.49K   113 downloads

Here are some pictures of 4" bootlegs.

These two are examples of deka bootleg thumb wrestlers. I got them in a hobby store when i was a kid. they are made of a harder plastic
Attached File  IMG_1599.JPG   187.68K   73 downloads

Attached File  IMG_1600.JPG   197.66K   84 downloads

Here are examples of larger kinkeshi. not sure what theyre called and little is known about these at this point. they are larger than the 4" but not as large as the great kinkeshi. all 3 of the figures i own have different stamps so i would say that all 3 are from a different series. update: i recently found that some are from the battle royal set

Here are examples of the great kinkeshi. there are 30 in the set and 2 pairs of paired figures

the link below has a section where you can find more pictures and info on these

This is an example of an articulated kinkeshi. its not quite 4 inch but i felt it deserved to be a part of this thread. i dont know anything about these at this point other than there are a several different sculpts that ive seen on yahoo japan

'On Sale' or 'For Sale'. It's really the same thing! The word, 'Sale' means YOU CAN BUY IT,
not that it is discounted. We as consumers are conditioned to think"On Sale"means it's cheaper.

The names of most of those are kinda messed up. Doctor Bombe and Kinkotsuman expecially jumpped out.

Also, anyone have a Kinkotsuman (Skeleton with the gun) they'll part with? I've been looking for one of those for a while.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Oh, I got it back in the day. Mid 80's. Unfortunately I sold most of my Deka and I can't remember which one I had that it came with. I have other Deka lists. I just have to dig them out one of these days to see if I have the missing one.

Just helping out this topic....

“articulated kinkeshiâ€￾ - These were part of the Bandai Toy/Candy collection. 1985

“larger than the 4inchâ€￾ – Not only were some a part of the first Deluxe Battle Royal Jikkyou Ring, Kinnikuman & Blocken Jr, Buffaloman & Mongolman, Neptuneman & Sunshine were a part of the ‘The Damage’ type sets. Which was a part of the Bandai Pla Model division. In these sets they gave you stuff to customize the figs. Make them Battle Damage etc.

“colored dekaâ€￾ - If I remember correctly these were made from a more rubbery material. So you can stretch them out. Nobi nobi, so to speak…. Kinda like how you stretched the old Stretch Armstrong. But these Kinnikuman Ultratekkusu went back to shape quickly. (Ultratekkusu-Ultratext, 'texture')

“Reissue Dekaâ€￾ - Were from 1999. 20th anniversary. The GITD was the ‘chase’ Dekakinkeshi

‘Great Muscle Series’ – Correct, only two paired, Kinnikuman & Neptuneman-Kinniku Buster and Kinnikuman & Buffaloman-Kinniku Driver

Thanks stinger all info is greatly appreciated. Any more you can add would awesome! The colored deka i have are not stretchy but i might just have a different type. Also please let us know about ammomite because he doesnt go with that part hes pictured in. Xiamen comes in the box set for that part. Please any pics you can provide of your collection and checklist would be helpful and cool to see. Thanks
