Hello, wasn't sure whether to put this in the Other Toys and Toylines section or Toy Identification. Hope this is the right place!

I just got what I thought was going to be a Spinja arena through ebay. I had one as a kid, so looking at it I think it looks exactly the same as what I had back then, as do the spinners and ninjas inside. The only difference is they have stickers on the spinners saying Tomy Battlers. I was just wondering if this is at all unusual? I have included an original yellow Spinja spinner and red ninja in my pictures for comparison.

I was also wondering if there was any consensus on how much these should be bought for, because I'm thinking about trying to collect some more, but I don't want to get ripped off.

Cheers

couldn't tell you a price on these. but i can tell you that they appear to be the exact same thing as spinjas. i've got the green one you've got and it was purchased in spinja packaging. maybe the tomy battlers were the same toys with just a different name in a different country. whoever you bought them from could have got them from anywhere.

i bought a complete set of all 24 spinjas, all 4 battle arenas, 10 launchers, and the 1 battle stadium for $400 or so back in the day. It was expensive but it was everything in one shot.

Definitely Spinjas, but i have never seen them rebranded as Tomy Battlers. Awesome find!

Spinjas range from $20 per 2pk to $40 per 2pk, depending on the market.

There were 4 different 2 packs (2 Spinas, 2 winders and the mini-arena), 4 different 4 packs (4 Spinjas with no accessories) and the Spinja Stadium, which was huge!

Best Spinja piece I ever saw was a custom display for the figures made from wood. All painted up to look like something from the time of Robin Hood!

nice score! i still have my handful of spinjas, small arena or 2, and the battle arena. i need to find the colored entry parts, i know theres a few flags still around, somewhere. its to the point where i can spin them better w/my fingers than the launchers, which makes for a great match.

Weirdly, I remember these as "spin fighters" complete with a TV commercial and annoying song, but the internet tells me that spin fighters were licensed characters. I know for sure I saw the "spin fighters" commercial, went to the toy store, and bought figures in this same style.
