Me:

There are rumors going around that the toyline has been cancelled, is
there any truth to this? Thanks for your time....

Tony

Moose:

Hi Tony,

These rumours are NOT TRUE!!! There are heaps of Fistful of Power
series
to come and there is no way we would cancel them because we have so
many
fans - like yourself. If you could please tell me where you heard
these
rumours, it will help us unsure that no more rumours occur!

Thanks

Casey

Did you respond and tell them that the pinheads at walmart are saying so? I am glad for your guy's sake that the line is not getting cancelled. I don't own any FOP but enjoy reading about the rares and shizznit.

Yeah, I told them the rumors were started by some douchebag Wal-Mart employee. I also mentioned that the toys being on clearance didn't help but was hoping that was due to wave 2 coming soon. Maybe they'll respond with some info on that....

Not to be a negative nancy, but remember that Bandai said the same thing about the Ultimate Muscle line back in its waning days.

It certainly would not be in the company's best interest to publicly state the toyline is going to be cancelled while they still have product they are trying to move in the marketplace. It would surprise me if they decided to cancel it at this point as I could not imagine that they were expecting a stronger debut given the fact that the toyline really has not been marketed in the least. But, like all fringe toylines, I'll continue to have my doubts about its future viability until I see new product on the shelves.

Part of me feels that Tortle's right (again... curse you're big ol' brain). This could possibly be a form letter or something cooked up by PR men to make collectors think there's more and keep their hopes up....

BUT... the other part of me feels that they will release more toys, just Wal*Mart won't pick them up. And I don't see why Walmart is taking business from TRU and other companies, since their toy selection seems... well... sparse and cluttered.

I highly doubt also now that they will cancel as they just added that forum to their site.

That site belongs to a thetoybox.com, it isn't official. It's owned by the guy who managed to pick up the domain name before I did.

Hm, that sucks. Well, depending on the future of FOP and how thetoybox.com runs the forum, maybe you could start your own anyhow. I think most collectors around these parts would prefer a more adult oriented forum, if you know what I mean.

All of the figures are male. I would hate to see anything Adult-oriented in that world.
