✩ I just returned from a trip to my parents house, and came across some pretty interesting gems!
Some were remembered, but missing, others were totally forgotten.
Kind of debated on if I should keep these finds in a single "look what I found!" post.
But, since they are all from separate collections, it seemed better to split them into the appropriate topics.

I only remember ever having 1 M.U.S.C.L.E. guy growing up.
Turns out I must have grabbed a standard set sometime, because I found 2 more!

Was really thrilled to learn I had a Claw! I felt it was sorta the patron saint of this LRG.

No idea who this guy is turning his head- but it's fun when mini figures actually look more interesting from behind.

Ths was the guy I played with so much a kid. He was always the generic bad guy of other small scale figures.

Looks like a pet got to your claw... same thing happened w/ my dark blue claw!!  May cat had it in her mouth, just long enough to scar the PVC! : (

I know! Couldn't believe that!
Whatever it was, it had super sharp teeth, so I'm guessing a cat or possibly a puppy.
If I remembered exactly when I got these, I could likely deduce who it was.

Oh well, figured I was likely going to hold onto it anyway.
It's not too noticeable from a distance at least.

Beautiful pics!

Thanks!
I wanted to make sure the condition was really clear in case anyone was willing to trade with me.
As plasticfiend already mentioned above, some critter almost made a meal out of poor ol' Claw!
MokoSeijin is in decent condition, but definitely has some playwear.
But, the Kinnikuman Super Phoenix (ʙ) is in perfect condition, looks like I never even touched it.
I obviously am not very knowledgeable about M.U.S.C.L.E. figures,

but just looking up these 3 online, I came across this #048 Teapack Man in the Database:

muscle-figure-048-flesh.jpg

I like him very much, and now require owning my own.
I'd trade both Super Phoenix (ʙ) and MokoSeijin together for ONE Tea guy in any color (though green or flesh would be ideal).
Also have a few MiMP and a Battle Beast, but nothing too special.

Please message me if anyone has any extra Tea boysss!

Great pics. Just think of your claw as battle damaged.

Incredible work!!! Thanks for sharing!
Really fun palettes you chose for them.
The Claw sort of looks like a plant-based creature now!
You even got the little tiger stripes on MokoSeijin's tattered tunic thing!
It's so wild to see these sculpts painted, all this detail you can't appreciate until it is highlighted.

That's really funny because after bigazzhead mentioned my Claw was "battle damaged"

I immediately thought of giving him a full paint job, and making those those teeth marks look like fresh bleeding wounds.

So, I was planning on asking if anyone had any success painting M.U.S.C.L.E. figures, and you just read my mind!
It's a great solution to figures that have been damaged or discolored, and I love the results you got!
Do you use vinyl paints (like V-Color or Monster Kolor) so it doesn't have bad chemical reactions with the PVC?

Thanks, glad you like them. Having been painting these for a few years, I have become more familiar with the Kinnikuman story and paint the figures  as closely as possible to how they appear in the anime tv series and the movies. The Claw character is in fact called "Sneagator"  a reptile based creature who has the ablility to shape shift to a turtle, two variants of lizards, a sneaker and a tyrannosaurus foot.(hence..Claw) These would be muscle numbers #6, #72, #112, #153, #204...in effect all the same character.

Mouki-seijin (translates as space tiger) and only appears in the very first Kinnikuman movie and not in the manga comics.

Most of us are aware of the difference in the material used for the japanese kinkeshi originals and the mattel muscle range, PVC are no problem for acrylic paint and all the new Kinnikuman kinkeshi produced use a pvc based formulae, however the original kinkeshi, based on the japanese eraser type figure can be problematic for paint. I find that most are OK..but the paint will take a lot longer to dry off fully and handling during this time should be kept to a minimum or paint will actually rub off. Once fully dry I apply a coat of matt varnish to help seal the paint. This proceedure is not required when painting the mattel muscle versions.

You have heard the saying "..you could'nt make it up" when referring to a story or article that astonishes.. well the japanese did when they created Kinnikuman. Check out the original manga comics

online (nearly all have been translated) to see what the characters are all about and what they do. !
