I think there was some discussion that the east coast con should be held on the same date as the west coast con.

It isn't where I can get to that is important. It is what location can we maximize the # of people. I would be ok with not being able to go if 3 or 4 more people could make it.

It would also be nice if we could pick a location that averybody could get to in 6-8 hours. Carpooling is always good too

So N.Corlina or Virgina would be good spots they are about in the middle of the whole coast.

It seems that a larger proportion of ppl are up north though. So somewhere up there would proably get the most attendeance.

I could absolutely make it anywhere in Virginia (providing it's not on my vacation week) since I live smack-dab in the middle. Anywhere else might be pushing it for me, unless it's a bordering state...

I just noticed this thread, and I think this idea is totally rockin!!!!
An east coast M.U.S.C.L.E. con is something I could definately get down with. I will drive from Connecticut to anywhere on the eastern seaboard and its environs to attend.
We should definately make this into a reality. I am willing to help in any way I can.

Ok so if we had it In Virgina what is the number of people that can probably make it?

Would we be able to get more people there by getting some ppl to carpool and pick up some others along the way. They could help out with the drivers gas(not kid muscls kind of gas though) for the car.

If any one under 18 wanted to be picked up there would have to be some serious talking with the youngins folks and probably sign some kind of a waiver, or you can plead and beg your folks. The driver of course would also have to agree.

Nate or anybody else know of a spot in Virgina that we could have it? Would we want a two day event or just the one day July 26th?

We also need to look into a place where people could stay the night since a lot of people would be coming form out of town/state.

I think Virginia is great, but I also think I'm the furthest south. (NC) Even though VA and NC are the midpoint of the east coast, is seems like most of these guys live in the northeast. While it works great for me, I don't know if it's quite fair to everyone else. I'll be there whatever the location, as long as it isn't too far north. Virginia would be a definite for me though.

BTW, is there anyone here further south than NC???

I think a "get together" is probably in the original spirit of this thread. Let's get a showing of hands of who would NOT be able to make it to VA for this reason. And whomever can't...maybe we can work something out.
