I know that sounds like the setup for a bad joke. Truthfully though, how can you tell which is which?
What's the difference between a black Exogini and a black Cosmix?

Well, that's a very difficult task.
When you open a sealed bag of cosmix, the first thing you can notice is a very distinctive smell of oil, opposed to the more generic rubber/plastic smell from the exogini.
In time, it can wear off (especially if you keep'em with other figures) and there is no way to tell one from another. There are some theories about how's the sprue mark but I don't believe'em at all because the greek molds were the same and I handled a pretty good amount of figures.
There is one way though: put the suspect figure under an upside-down glass under the sun for a few hours, if you lift the glass and smell oil, you got it.
(if you already know the cosmix smell, it's very easy to do)
