rules
1. All you have to do is say yes AND talk about your favourite toy! Either from childhood or your collection. (Could be one and the same).
2. Only allowed to enter once
3. Must have at least 10 posts and been a member for 10 days
4. If you win you must set up your own contest before I send out your prize.

5. Each entry will be given a number which i will run a random number generator to pick the winner.

Contest runs one week and ends on March 3rd. 9pm EST. I will post the winner that night, or the following morning.

I've also got an incentive for you folks: I have to send this in a box. Currently, the box is maybe half-full. The more people who enter the contest, the fuller the box will get! I want to jam pack this box for you guys, so tell your friends!

Here is what is currently inside of the box:

Please also note that my child's toes and her half-eaten dry cereal is not up for grabs. (Well, maybe).

Yes!

My favorite toy when I was little was a figure I called "Spectro." I had no clue who the figure was supposed to be: Spectro and his collection of peculiar superpowers were entirely my own invention. Spectro rode a plastic velociraptor and, since he was close to being my only figure, genrally found his enemies out in the yard where he was known to fight leaf piles (dead leaves were the mass produced but weak and brainless soldiers of his enemies). His adventures rather resembled something youd find in a Grant Morrison comic (I didn't discover Grant Morrison for another decade and a half so I can't blame him for this).

Years later I discovered that Spectro had been Kang the Conqueror from the Marvel Secret Wars serries. By that time he'd long been lost. First his legs had fallen off thanks to the ill-fitting steed I kept jamming him onto, and eventually his torso followed. I still have his belt and raptor though.

My favorite toy growing up was my Vehicle Voltron (Dairugger-XV). Ive always had an affinity for him so over the years i've collected a nice collection of every version he was released as in Keshi form.

ummmm YES

Didn't have a favorite toy growing up unless you count our playhouse. My dad built it for us 4 girls and we played everything in there. Even church. Then there were the monkey bars, swingsets, go-cart, bikes and whirly-bird. With 4 girls only a year apart each, we never really played with much else. I think I had a barbie and Ken at one time, but that is all I remember. Oh yeah, we also had a separate 'rumpus room' with pool table, juke box, bowling machine and pinball machines so we were pretty much kept busy without a lot of toys. lol

BUT maybe that is why I love toys today! I was so deprived of normal toys as a child lol. My favorites are my POTC and my Spiral Zone set! :)

Yes

Ever since I was a young Mimper-snapper, I always had an affinity for Behemoth. Something about that large lump of rubber has always caused my love and affection (Insert "your mother" jokes here). I have faithfully collected him and other MIMP for 24 years now. I've involved every member of my close family and bought from about 2 dozen countries to fill my MIMP Collective. And the hunt has not slowed...

Yes. My favorite toy growing up was a pen. That's right a simple ball point pen. Why you ask? What's wrong with this psycho? Well, I couldn't afford every new toy that came out and I had an incredibly active imagination. With that simple pen I was able to imagine any character from the comics I read, cartoons and movies I watched, and even create new creations from my own mind.

Yes. As for my favourite it was the Boulder Hill playset from M.A.S.K.  growing up my parents were usually on a pretty tight budget so it was rare to get a big playset under the christmas tree.

Yes.

Right now, the thing stuck in my head...  it was a drawing toy. I can't remember a name or I'd look it up and see what they're selling for. The thing had multiple plates. You could mix and match between tops, mids, and bottoms. I remember a monster or two, and a super hero looking guy. You put the plates in place, put a piece of paper in, and slide a frame on (I think) and then, there was like a crayon you would rub on to transfer the image onto the paper.

This was my favorite thing for a good long while as a kid.

Oh crap! I just found it!

yes,

For the longest time all i could remember was M.U.S.C.L.E.'s But with the help of this site. and all the sweet people on here. I've been beamed back to 1985 where battle beasts run wild and Choke slam muscles until there arms fell off. You know what I'm talking about.. and i used to have this 4 or 5'' rubber voltron, I'm pretty sure he came apart. but just into peices, not awesome fighting robot cats like real deal. O no. just a pile of different color rubber.

Good call. I didn't think to check my end date I had set and I thought I had it end on Sunday night.

Ah well.

For the sake of fairness I will accept more entries until my originally posted end date of March 3rd.

However, if nobody else enters I will revert back to Matlock being the winner.
