that's odd? I'm not doing anything fancy here, just linking an image.

the reason I'm suggesting refreshing the page when you visit, is that I'm using the same image filename, just updating it on my FTP server when I update the map. so when you load this thread, even though new posts will load, since the file-name and location of the grid image are the same, most browsers will assume it's the same image and load a cached version of the image for a period of time.
clicking the refresh button on your browser (or press F5 key) forces the page to reload everything on it, and thus forces the map image to update
