Posted 17 May 2013 - 09:48 AM

I sent him an email.

If it's Venom, then I am 100% certain they are legit.

Retro, I think you should wait to hear from Venom before you start contacting eBay. You yourself recently had an auction with an unannounced bootleg in it:
http://www.littlerub...howtopic=163254
No one here jumped and contacted ebay. We gave you the benefit of the doubt assuming that you didn't realize that the bootleg was of a very expensive figure and waited for you to answer and update the description.

Yes mate I get what you are saying and i soon fixed the problem. I had no idea what that guy was so it was a lack of research on my behalf but from help from guys on here i got the problem fixed.

I will give it one more day but they are for sure repos mate.

I wtold a friend todasy they were repos and he will be canceling his bids tonight.

Yes I agree with GJNL from the pictures of the silver weapons I feel they are clearly reproductions the color is way off and no marbling on any of the weapons.  So it is assume the gold weapons are the same.  I also feel it strengthens the case that they are reproductions because no laser beast figures were posted along with the weapons.  He is trying to pass off the reproductions as real weapons and sadly there are probable a lot of people who will bid on them thinking there real.  The pictures don't lie!!!

Have only looked at the Mantfrenzy weapon, but it's absolutely clear to me that there's some marbling on that one, even though the pic is somewhat dark.

I have bid on a couple of these, just cause I wanted to get them for awhile, and they never come up that much.  I actually don't care if they're repros or not, I haven't bid all that much that I'd really be jaded.  I actually wish I could get some repros (marked in some way is fine with me) easily and cheaply, just cause I like the beasts to have their correct weapons, even if they aren't 'legit'.  I'm not collecting to sell stuff, just cause I like the figures.

Does anyone actually make marked bootlegs of the HTF Laser beasts at a decent price?  I thought Godbeast had at one point, but I don't think he has any more.  Would love to get them just to have the characters, even if I had to paint them myself.

I've highlighted some the lines of marbling that I could see, this is especially for GJNL and anyone else who has vision problems:

I appreciate it you took the time to highlight this but if you'd know the orginals than you would've found out that these are much less plain in color and this marbling is much more present. No idea what your benefit or urge is to protect this seller (whoever he might be) trying to back him up mentioning these are legit laserguns because everyone out here can see they are NOT.

Sorry to say but even in case it might turn out to be Venom which it more and more starts to look like based on the back up he's receiving from the die hard boardmembers its still a scam action which is something I and WE as collectors will not accept under any circumstance. Its already worse enough these are out there without any markings causing big problems but even selling them as legit weapons while you've actually bought them yourself from the Chinese repo guy is a real bad thing especially listing them a few days after you've seen the orignals go for high prices. So its enough said the facts are there and I rest my case since there is nothing more to say.

So you agree that I was, in fact, right, and there is at least some marbling, as I said?

Just asking, because you downvoted my post in which I said there was marbling, so perhaps you'd like to explain that.

No idea what your benefit or urge is to protect this seller (whoever he might be) trying to back him up mentioning these are legit laserguns because everyone out here can see they are NOT.

You're judging something off a low-res image on eBay, it's not a case of protecting a seller, merely of asking the lynch mob to put away their torches and pitchforks until the facts have been firmly established.

Given that several people here have claimed there is no marbling in the plastic when there clearly is, at the very least, some amount of marbling, I'm not going to take your argumentum ad populum as proof of anything.

All i see is a bunch of red lines.

You need to compare it side by side with the original.

Jeez

Venom has been on here for almost 10 years, with never even the hint of dishonesty, so I will gladly give him the benefit of the doubt. I will be flabbergasted if these are repros that he is selling.

The lighting on the pictures is not the best and the marbling isn't always prevalent in a bad pic. You can look here:
http://www.littlerub...items.cfm?cat=5 to see how some pics show the marbling great while others look very flat.

Could I be wrong? Sure. But the probability of someone who has been nothing but upstanding for the better part of 10 years, overnight deciding to scam someone like this is slim to none.

As far as him being slow to respond, that's pretty common for him. He works long hours when the weather is nice, which for the past week or two, has been here in sunny California.

Those are the Chinese Repros.

Notice not only the color, but the Weapons avaliable for sale and not for sale match the repro set.

This Ebayer is directly trying to fraud collectors.

Venom stated he was going to list original weapons first. Now we see these from a BB/LB collectors from his location.

It's apparent to me that if this is Venom's account as it seems likely.

He went out of his way to scam the LRG users.

Hey guys sorry about everything, these weapons are 100% legit. They come from my own collection. I was going to sell everything separate because I know how hard it is get the weapons. So I figured it would be easier to get a weapon instead of having to pay for a figure plus a weapon. I cancelled the auctions because of all the speculation and I didn't want anybody to think they where getting a fake weapon. I apologize to all those who bid on the auctions.

I'm sorry about that, It's my first time selling on ebay, and didn't know exactly how to figure it out. I usually trade across the board here and avoid Ebay. The reason they where put on ebay was so that everybody got a fair chance to bid on it.  I'm sorry to all for pulling the auctions..

I think this is kind of hypocritical of you.

You posted a bootleg GPK figure in a lot of M.U.S.C.L.E.s on eBay without mentioning it was a bootleg. You were called out on it, and it took you a LONG while to respond and make the change to the auction description. Yet, most of us gave you the benefit of the doubt. I didn't contact ebay and accuse you of being a scammer selling bootlegs, like you did with Venom. We waited and you made it right.

http://www.littlerub...howtopic=163254

You had a new member question you about your sale thread because you neither posted a list of what you had or your price list. These were 100% valid concerns from him. Everyone came to your rescue because of your previous good feedback here. Again, based on your reputation, you were given the benefit of the doubt.

http://www.littlerub...howtopic=162952

But yet, you are so quick to jump on someone who has had a solid repuation on this board 3 times longer than you have, and not offer the same courtesy that has been shown to you?

Not only that, but then you go ahead and bid on one of the supposed fake guns after you've tried to scare off anyone else who was bidding on it, by swearing up and down it is a fake. If you genuinely thought it was a fake, then why did you bid on it?

You are a hypocrite. You remind me of this guy:

First of all we have allready talked over the first question. Regarding My bootleg i had no idea it was a bootleg and when i was told as soon as i got on my laptop i edited it. I dont edit posts from my phone. I ma not a muscle collector sorry.

Then to the next point i had a photo up of my spare battle beasts so didnt think i needed to write a list taking me hours to do so.

Plus i didnt actually bid on a laser from Venoms listings so who ever informed you on that is a pure lie. Maybe this was venom as well who told you this.

Im glad that they are real lasers and not fakes but hopefully you can understand why some of us were reluctent to place bids. We didnt even know if it was the same guy due to lack of responses

My point exactly. We didn't think you were trying to scam anyone because you have had a good reputation here for a few years. So we assumed you just made a mistake or didn't know.

I totally understand the concern. I'm just saying, if someone has a solid history here, give them the benefit of the doubt until they have a chance to say their peace. The ebay pics looked like the fakes due to the marbling not standing out, but like I mentioned, that could have just been the lighting. If you look at the pics Saleen took, the groundwolf gun doesn't show marbling because of the lighting and angle. but the Brain Mouse one at the bottom does.
