So I have some figures that just will NOT stand, yet I want to display them. Others will stand for awhile but will fall off the shelf in the middle of the night. I'm wondering if anyone has used something like a drop of fun tack on one foot to hold them on the shelf, or would that damage/stain the figures, long term? Any ideas to get them to stand that wont damage them?

Not sure if you have Blu-Tack over there but that's what I'd use if I had problems, Lucky I don't have a single figure that won't stand & if I did, they'd lean against the back wall of the shelf LOL

Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything that will help them stand. I can say, though, that you should test any such thing on a damaged figure before you use it on a good one. There are methods you can use to fix a warped figure--use the search function to find them. Some figures are harder to stand up than others; 163 is one such figure that comes readily to my mind.

Here's a method I tried many times. You can put them in boiling hot water or heat them and fix the off balance when the PVC is most flexible. Once that is corrected soaked them in cold water. You can also twist, stretch, wind or whatever you want to do with them to make other poses. Here's an example on one figure I tested awhile back ago.

In an ideal world my left hand would have all ten fingers, so my right hand could just be a fist for punching. • Dwight Schrute

Thanks for all the ideas. Yeah, I think I'm going to test some fun tac or whatever it's called, the stuff you can hang posters with, kinda like not really sticky bubble gum, on a beat up figure. I can't lean them agains the wall since there's a space bewteen the wall and the shelf, it's hung on brackets. The ones I've had trouble standing are usually ones that are front heavy, like #127, Junkman, and I've had 2 #62 (the Shiek) that won't stand.
