And your sculpts are breaking like that? Hm. I've never had that issue, and there has got to be a way that can be helped. That's got to be frustrating.

Well all of the break points are at places where it was either broken and I super glued back together or where I sculpted the part separately and super glued on, like the hands. I am assuming it has something to do with the curing of the silicone affecting the super glue and making it brittle. I have a few other figures I will be molding up the weekend I will see how they turn out. Maybe I will pick one that I know has very little super glue.

Ironically the snake I was most worried about breaking held through like a champ. Also the hand holding him was sculpted separately and glued on and is just fine.

I have a few with bubbles that I will be patching up. They are perfect for painting if anyone is interested just shoot me a PM.

I have to repour half of the mold for the cloaked hero. While pouring the second half is leaked under the figure and stuck to the other half haha. Such crap.

I am currently putting together a pressure pot and compressor set up!

Got the pressure pot up and running today. Cannot seem to get rid of a leak right where the air hose connects to the compressor but it still fills my tank up to 30-40 psi.

Casting figures really shows me how terrible my sculpting is haha. Time to get better!

Having fun with colors! Baby blue beetles hand was a big air bubble. I guess he will get a custom hook hand now.

This was supposed to be black haha, not enough pigment.

My cousin requested a purple volcano.

if the air leak is coming from where the hose screws on to the tank, try using some Teflon tape (comes in white or yellow at home depot usually in the section with gas fittings).  you wrap the threaded male end in a tight clockwise direction.  go around three times should do the trick.

cools stuff btw

How dare you notice my figures look terrible! To think, I was almost going to sell you one!

Seriously though I just haven't gotten around to trimming the figures up. Just casting up a big pile before I sit down to trim them up.

I could totally paint up a resin golem to look like s'mores! Let me know if you want one!

Thanks!

I'm making some funky colors for these guys.

Let's sort some things!

You're amazing! Stop insulting your work. Those sculpts are excellent. What are you casting them in?

Don't you defend my work! It needs to get better and it will get better or else! I am casting in urethane rubber. Aquarium safe, allegedly.

He sculpts in crap.  molds in crap.  assuming he casts in crap too!  haha

It's crap all the way down!

Just look at this crap!

Here some crap I'm sculpting/finishing up
Attached File  image.jpg   91.4K   9 downloads
Attached File  image.jpg   88.5K   15 downloads
Attached File  image.jpg   81.11K   15 downloads

Seriously though I just use crap as a word to refer to stuff/things. I also use the word shit. "Look at this shit I'm painting!" Was regularly said in my college classes.
