This player makes Battletoads look entirely too easy to beat.  Heck, a while back I was playing it with the Game Genie and couldn't get passed level three.  I then put in a code to try start at level 4, same thing, level 7 same thing.  This game is effin difficult.

I love and hate this level at the same time!! I never have been able to pass the snake level.

No kidding! That game was a lot of fun, but I could never beat the third level. You need pinpoint accuracy to pull that off. I liked the characters, and the designs of everything, but hell... I will STILL stick to Splatterhouse.

That's the thing though: It's both. It's really fun, but also really obnoxious. That game can easily eat an entire afternoon.

I used to LOVE Battle Toads... So frustrating, but man when you beat it you feel like you conquered the world! I only ever played the NES on though. Did anyone here play the sequels, I think there was a Double Dragon Team upon the SNES. I wonder if they had the same level of difficulty...

I've never finished any of them but my understanding is they are all just slightly different levels of brutally tough.

The team up with battletoads came out for both NES and SNES.

There was also "battletoads in battlemaniacs" for SNES and I own the cover painting which is one of my most prized collectibles really. I will post it later if you guys care.

I played them all and they are all harder than dinosaur turds. Never could get very far. Always would be ok until a bike stage, then

^ yeah that's what I hear ;)  Dino turds.   I've never made it too far in one myself.

Great games though :)

Here's the original Battlemaniacs pre-production cover painting before and after I got it framed.   As you can see they only used the middle 1/3 for the cover but then reproduced the full image on the manual cover.   Same painting was used for both purposes.

There is a long running prank with the Silver and Gold Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This is the Pawn Shop from Pawn Stars.

Call (702) 385-7912

Ask if they have Battletoads.

I remember the game being insanely difficult. Even with a Game Genie, parts of the game are impossible to navigate without skill. Therefore making the game frustratingly difficult.

And while relearning the controls takes no time at all, relearning the patterns and sequences of the obstacles, and snakes is nightmarish. Rewatching the video above gave me a flashback.

This thing is glorious and I am insanely jealous.

The prank started with calling large retailers like Gamestop, Best Buy, Futureshop, etc.

You would also be making yourself look like a fool because you'd be "that guy" using an ancient interwebs joke.

Ninja Edit: If you still decide you need to go through with this, at least ask for your free wii-strap

Lol. That's like going into Wendy's and asking for an order of their free Wi-fi. (Pronounce it "Whiffy" for extra confusion!)
