He works for Adventure Time! SWARM!

I have an awesome idea for a cartoon about poop based soldiers! I will let you make the toys for it.

Now see, this was my idea!    Except in my cartoon, the fecal warriors are transported to a whimsical candy kingdom where they meet a strange boy named Jinn and his magical dog companion, Fake.

Ohhhhh, the adventures I have planned!

Tried my hand at sculpting one of these little shit-heads. Obviously I knew it wasn't gonna look just like the sketch, but I like it! Also, I think I like Sculpey Firm the best out of what I've used. I still have some work to do on this sculpt, but here it is so far. Phew!

Yes! And I'll be starting on figure #2 tonight! Hopefully I can replicate the style I fell into with this first one. Lack of sculpting skill means throwing caution to the wind when trying to nail a "style"

"Lack of sculpting skill"?   Dude, you are a helluva lot better at it than me and many.    I could see you doing some work on the original TMNT line.  I see a lot of those characters' aspects in your work.

Well, I guess what I mean is, I am not good enough to do what I see in my head, so I do the best I can to still make it look "cool". And the TMNT comment will get you far with flattering me. One of my favorite toy lines ever.

And I shall take shitty as a compliment henceforth!! ;)

Not my type of characters, but they look nice and clean to me, dude!

The Lego box and all, this is the molding process?

A lot of guys around here use LEGO bricks to make their molds. It's cheap and effective.

I can't believe I didn't post a pic of her. And yeah, it's not super obvious, but I'm new to this. I can only get better!

I finished casting my first round and they turned out BADLY, but I am undeterred! there is a leak in my pressure pot though, so I'm waiting for a new gasket before I can go for it again. I'll be getting back to sculpting this week and hopefully I can get to  finish my shitty soldiers.

Wait, the characters use those in DBZ??   Hmmmm, Bulma did seem kinda bee-eye-itchy and moody in spurts, come to think of it.

Ohhhh, wait...

I'll say this until the day I die....there can never be nor will ever be ENOUGH action/mini figures with mohawks. I love them all! I am biased because of my punk rock disposition...but whatever! Nice figure man!

Oh, boy... Did I learn a lot from trial and error!

I am definitely gonna make new molds for these guys and do them seperately! Also, I need to add some length to the bottom of the feet to allow for some more overflow and settling of the casting material (I can only assume this is because of the immense pressure caused by being in the pressure pot! And boy did I grossly overestimate how much material I would need for the casting process... So much wasted rubber!!!

Also,,, it sets fast, so I didn't get good pours on either character because of how I set up 2 characters in one mold. I'm gonna try some new casts next week after I get a new gasket for my pressure pot (the one it came with was leaky).

Anyway, I hope you had fun looking at some of my failures! Hopefully the next ones will turn out better and I won't have to waste anymore money ;)

"Failures" might be a bit too harsh, I kind of like the glop and flashing; makes them look like cool 70s gumball machine monsters.

Love the wad of rubber in the shape of a Dixie cup, ha.  Live and learn, man.   :)

New guy: Mega Watt (or some other such electricity-themed name. This guy was a beast and made me realize I REALLY need to learn to use Apoxy so I can work on sections at a time without smushing everything as I work on the character.

You can already see some improvements in your sculpting ability. That guy is looking great.
