Hello everyone, I have a sealed copy of Monster In My Pocket for Nes. It has a tear in the plastic, so game collectors do not want it for their collection. I was thinking about opening the game, (on video to have proof of condition), and maybe selling the game and the figure seperate. I was wondering if someone could help me with pricing or ideas of what would be the best way to sell this. I am curious as to what color figure is inside it, lol! Thank you in advance for the help! And I have taken all the walmart tags off, so they are not on there anymore and the plastic was not harmed in the process.

Most of the Blemmyae I have seen go for $50-60. Some a little higher. The game itself I am not sure.

Thanks, I know there are some sold recently on ebay so I was just unsure as to IF I wanted to open the game or not. would make a big difference depending on how much the figure was worth. I am more of a video game collector so I am in the dark in this area.

$60 seems a little on the low side for Blemmyea, I haven't seen any fetch that kind of price recently. $80-100 is certainly not unusual, and I've seen it go for more on many occasions. You must consider that these figures are less common than the other Series 3 figures, which affects the price.
Even though your game is not perfectly sealed, I would still leave it as is, even in that condition you are still likely to get more for it than you would for the two separately.

thanks everyone, I am just having trouble selling it due to it not being a mint or better looking sealed game....therefore the retro video game collectors dont want it and figure collectors dont want the game, just the figure. That is why I am thinking and trying to weigh out if I want to open it or not. And "BigBurty" I am not going to base my price off of just one price I get from someone, especially someone who is rude and thinks I am being hateful for comparing prices of what I have found. That is the reason I left your group and I am asking around to get a feel on what I want to do. Thank you again for your opinion. I feel that a brand new, mint condition figure would be worth more than the others that have been sold in "used" condition, that is all.

First of all, if you look above then you'll notice I was one of three people to quote the $60 price. The only person that didn't was StrontiumDog. As for you leaving the Facebook group, I was under the impression that you were removed rather than left. You seemed to imply both myself and another guy were trying to con you into selling your stuff for low prices, when all we were doing was offering you out honest opinions. Correct me if I'm wrong though.thanks everyone, I am just having trouble selling it due to it not being a mint or better looking sealed game....therefore the retro video game collectors dont want it and figure collectors dont want the game, just the figure. Yes some Blemms have sold for more than $60, but I still think that is about right for an average price. Take a look at my price tracker thread and you'll see that a couple sold for way less than $60. A Blemm on a sealed box seems to go for around $250+, which to me is crazy if all you want is the Blemm and aren't bothered about the NES game! When someone buys a $60 figure for $100+ then that doesn't mean they all should be classed as being worth that. Good old Mike has sold some series 1 neons, worth no more than $25, for $100+, but that doesn't reflect their true value.$60 seems a little on the low side for Blemmyea, I haven't seen any fetch that kind of price recently. $80-100 is certainly not unusual, and I've seen it go for more on many occasions. You're obviously entitled to your opinion on what things are worth, it's the sneering attitude towards anyone who pays more than $60 for Blemmyea as an ingenue with more money than sense which the thread starter rightly has an issue with.
Indeed, when new collectors come to the forum looking for MIMP, and you direct them to your friend who sells them for $1 rather than me, who sells them for 60 cents, you don't catch people making sly comments then.
A little less attitude would help immeasurably.

I'll edit and retract my previous comment I'd typed in an attempt to avoid stooping to your usual level.A little less attitude would help immeasurably.
As for the person who started this thread - list your Blemm for however high a price you want and I wish you the best of luck with getting it. I'm sure there'll be someone out to to pay whatever you ask.

yea... same hatefulness I got on the facbook thread. Exactly why I LEFT. I dont care what you sell yours for and what you think I was doing as far as calling you and your friend a lyer...which I never did. All I did was compare ebay prices and other sold listings to TALK about the price of it. I went somewhere looking for help and you were a hateful douchebag, as you are being here. As I have said previously, thank you for your opinion. As for everyone else, thank you and I'm sorry there is trash on my thread. I am just trying to figure out how to get it a good home and who would be interested in what. Also, I am curious as to what color is in the box to I am debating on opening it or not.

Apparently it is regionally popular in TN, KY, and NC. And also MN and WI.
It's like a highly caffeinated Mountain Dew.
it reminds me more of Squirt than Mt Dew. I find it in southern MO now and then but it's definitely more of a KY/TN thing.
Anyone familiar with Cheerwine? Of all the region-specific soft drinks I think that one has the most dedicated fans haha
