I'm still working my butt off on this, figuring out timing, chopping the original sound, and 'spotting' Sfx I'll have to replace...

...and noone is even trying out for auditions, or suggesting how to rewrite the 'Ukon' scene.

What The Hell? I'm working my :cheeks: to the bone, and noone is even talking into a headphone jack and uploading it?

We have a dozen parts that need to be cast. We've got someone who can do maybe eight, and we don't even have a goofy "Gilbert-Gottfried on Steroids and depressents" voice for Kinnikuman yet.

...nor a bad-quality upload of the movie that people can view. I think this may help, but the question is "where to put it?"

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Hey now, I'm still interested. I'm still trying to find a good new microphone (preferably one that doesn't cost like $20). Plus, I have my own personnal projects that I'm trying to do (novels and stuff).

We have a dozen parts that need to be cast.  We've got someone who can do maybe eight, and we don't even have a goofy "Gilbert-Gottfried on Steroids and depressents" voice for Kinnikuman yet.

YES! You want a "Kamiya-esque" Kinnikuman!! YES!! Now I feel 10 times more confident about getting the role!! If I can just get around to auditioning that is...

I thought this was already being worked on, and I've sent my Warsman lines (though they're just "Ko-Ho" & "Screw Driver"). Any other roles you might consider for my low-toned voice? I can do a pretty good enough Black Hole-esque voice. Also, with university, I might only be able to do this on mostly later Mondays and Fridays.

I'm always around for any updates. Which if it isn't you or me Orgg there usually aren't any. :cheeks:

I wanted to allow others to try out but of course if their arent any takers than we can go with what we got. If Showtime can get Suguru done then I'm not worried about anyone else. You, Adamantiumwulf, Comrade and Chibibee can VA most of the others in the movie. Add in some synthing and every cast member will get filled. I myself will jump in if there are no further takers here.

As for Ukon's scene of confusion. If I get another nonsensical translation from my translator and we can't make it work. I say cut it. It's useless if it doesn't come across funny. I've even played around with my Raw Footage of the film and it doesn't change a thing with or w/o it. I personaly have no problem with that scene ending up on the cutting room floor and I doubt anyone else will either.

I was really wanting to try out, but after trying some recordings, I determined that I have a super cruddy microphone, and no privacy with the computer being in the room it's in. However, I've been planning on picking up a new Computer here soon, so I might be able to do something.

I was gonna audition for Natsuko but I'm afraid my voice is a little deep for her part and I was thinking about making an attempt to audition for Nachugaron, too. Apparently, I can't, not with the combination of schoolwork and virtual learning getting in my way.

If auditions are still running come summer time, I may try out for those two characters. ^^;

I'll still support this idea though. ^^;

If voting for the person who gets each character is going to take this long, we may need to find someone who can host the auditions and post links to them at the more permanant spot, preferable someone who can also edit the posts that they should appear in...

I'll contact JKaris, but there's probalbly some limits on what all he can/will do.

Also, I'd prefer not to cut the Udon scene. Its ~IN THE MOVIE~. We have to accept that, and work with it. I still think Kinn getting in trouble for dumpping his crap in the vaccume of space is somewhat humorus...

This sounds like a very cool project... do you have a good copy of the film? I actually own an original VHS of this that plays very well. I also have another Kinnikuman film, I don't know the title of it, but the main bad guy is not a character I recognize.

The New York is the one on the right, and the other is on the left. If they can be of use to this project or future ones let me know.

The one on the left is the movie that has Neptuneman in it, right? I'm... pretty sure I recognise the villian just above Kinn being from that movie.

The videos won't be nessissary; I know that one person who is involved with the actual making of the final DVDs has the DVD version of the movie.

theorgg: I do care. There's just nothing I can really do.

Before, I was going to try out for the voices but that was before my mom's computer crapped out and she have a new computer now but there is no microphone with it. The one we have for the old computer isn't the right and the plug doesn't fid. So I'm pretty much stuck. (Well.. I could buy one but I don't really have all of the money in the world for things.)

And really, there is not much I can do but I want you to know that I'm willing to help out if it's something I can actually do. So lemme know if you need something.

Well, my internet/every nonprofessional thing computer crapped out about the time I dropped off the board. I'm still working on the proffessional computer with the movie (and the bands I'm coproducing, though they've slowed their work...) and have it ready for the reinsertion of sound effects (sadly, the ones I had downloaded [150+] were taken from me when my computer died) and dialog recordings (and the sound track, which has no progress as does the rest of this project so far).

If activity on this doesn't speed up anytime soon, I might co-opt a few friends into completing the voices, sans-audition.

I want this to get DONE. This thing has rotted too much as it is; If no more progress (or at least additional auditions) is done by January, I might just take up every bit of the reins, and form a dictatorship. Then again, I'll still need some assistance for things I cannot do...

I'll be watching ya'll, when I can.

Back as soon as possible,

-Orgg

Welcome back, Orgg!....sorta.

Sorry to hear about your PC. I know what that's like sadly. >_<
Anyway, yeah I saw this coming a mile away. Remember, we gave people the opportunity to audition for rolls in the original thread for several months and got lots of enthusiasm for the project but not much actual participation. I thought maybe a complete script would change that but yeah, not really.

Thats sort of why I just went ahead and elected You, Frobman, Adamantiumwulf, and the few others that REALLY put forth the effort in their auditions early on to your characters on my own w/o a vote. I knew you guys wouldn't be getting matched in your efforts anytime soon. If you know of people who are willing and able to help out with this in your own backyard then I say go for it. You know I'll be around to help in anyway I can either way. I'll even audition for some stuff also.

Oh, and as if my lack of response on the subject wasn't indicative enough I've had NO LUCK what so ever on that Detective Udon scene. B)

So nothing's much has been done?

And what voices do you need? The only voice I've been practicing is Kinnikuman's, though I'm having troubles with his goofy voice. I could do some extras, like some crooks, villians, panicing people, etc. Could do some of this next week [do also keep in mind that I'll be trying to work on a 2000 word essay for Thursday, which I've yet to start on tomorrow. B) B) :ulp: :( ] But we'll see!
