Hey Akia
I just finished up a 15 page poetry paper and the main topic of the paper were Haiku's

So anyway i thought it would be a fun, funny little topic if you can post a Haiku of your own (this was on South Park once)

"Philly whats a Haiku?"
Good question
a Haiku is a old Japanese form of poetry that is 17 syllables. traditionally 5 syllables for the first line 7 for the second and 5 for the last

heres an example

muscle collecting (5)
is a fun hobby for you (7)
you should try it now (5)

usually Haiku's make up more of an image then anything else
but no ones getting graded here so just post what ya like lol

lol i just finished a 15 page research paper about Haiku's I now know to much about it

For a traditional Haiku at least one word has to be a kigo which is a word that represents a season
its not always easy to see the connection

but more modern Haiku's can be about anything and the 17 syll. rule can even be thrown out

and if your really good you can write a Tanka which is a 31 syll. Japanese poem that usually has to do with humor in the family (traditionally)
