*PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST BEFORE POSTING*

Ok kids...

As far as I know only one other member here knows what toy line, company, year, and name of these figures are.

Here is a small hint...there are 7 different figures in this series.

I personally had no idea what they were until a member here contacted me.

NO ONE ELSE OWNS any of these figures FOR SURE!

There are no markings whatsoever on these figures anywhere.

They are 1.5" tall.

That is all the hints for now.

Good Luck!

I hope this is a challenge and fun!

If someone knows FOR SURE 100%, PLEASE pm me the answer w/o posting it here right away...I kinda want to see if this game can last a little while. I will answer the pms in the order I receive them and I will post the person who gets it right first here in this thread, no matter if someone later on posts the right answer. I WILL give the credit to the person in the pm. I just wanna give some of the Sherlock Holmes a chance to identify them correctly, even if someone straight up knows right away.

I guess time for some hints....since our ToyPedia guys are puzzled...

They are 80's.

They were NEVER made into plastic figures for retail.

They are NOT prototypes or salesman samples.

There were other toys produced from this toy line.

They are not a real obscure toy line.

That is all the hints for now.

Thanks for the hints, but don't give too many! I'm at work and haven't been able to do any googling. Like I said, I have a few ideas -- just haven't had a chance to confirm them.

The ones that Matt pm'd me from you and his pms were all incorrect. PM me if you have any shot in the dark guesses and you might be right. I would LOVE to have someone hit this on the nose and after snooping around on the net, I think another member here (doesn't post much) knows exactly what they are. So hurry and shoot me some guesses. I just wanna see if someone knew about these other than the person who contacted me. The other 5 characters which I don't have in my possession yet are even kewler characters in my opinion. Hopefully I will have the other 5 next week! Then I will show the complete set all together!!!

I have no idea what they are. I'd have to get home to do some searching on the net to figure it out. Has URS seen this thread yet? He might know what they are, or would at least probably be able to muster an educated guess.

There's a a few other peeps who'd probably like to guess as well, so if you can, I'd hold off for a little on revealing their true identity. :)

Someone pm'd me the correct toy line. Not the person I thought would know either. :D He even knew one of their names to boot! B)

I won't post it yet, because I know there are several people here who like to search and educate themselves w/o just seeing it posted. :D

Search on my friend, search on. :)

Way to ruin the fun Soups! :)

I'm glad I didnt scroll down before I submitted my guess. But then again, now when Marty reads his PM he'll just think that I read the thread and pretended to make a guess.

Whoops, sorry Soups, maybe he did want you to spill the beans. I thought that he meant for you to PM them. I dunno.

Anyway, the 7th figure, I dont think he has a name as he was part of... something else where they didnt mention it.

I did want Soups to spill the beans...I just wanted to see who knew it straight up, who could figure it out, and who wondered what these are made of?

Well, Soups was #3 and Asator was #4...poor Matt... :)

Anyway, they are indeed Mad Scientist, soups or someone can post the photo of all 7 characters in this thread.

I have obtained 2 of the 7 molds to see what I could do...workin' a little TGB plastic magic. Well, after a month of thinking, macguyverin' <-SP?, and trial and error...I now have plastic figures of the characters. They other 5 are on the way to my studio. So I will have complete sets of 7 figures ready for all you littlerubberguy junkies that want to own what has never been more than play-doh figures w/ terrible seam lines and flaws.

Thanks for rackin' your brains everyone, except maybe theorgg and tortle, they seemed to know pretty quickly and theorgg said he had some of these MS toys as a kid.

I'm sure these weren't released in the UK :p

Anyway, it was good fun and these are great little figures I can't wait to see (or own!) the rest :D

I knew right away too. I just didnt get home to read the thread till after 5:30 or so.

It was actually pretty fresh in my mind because not long ago I posted a thread about the Monster Lab. I couldnt remember what it was called and wanted to see if anyone else knew. When people replied it refreshed my memory. It's funny too because Eye-Gore was actually one of the sets that I had when I was a kid. I think I may have the mold somewhere at my parents house still. I LOVED the Mad Scientist line as a kid. I dont think my parents liked how messy it could be so I only ended up with small playsets.

Anyway, I'm SUPER stoked that you are working on these Marty! I'm DEFINATELY down to buy some customs of these figures. When I saw those pictures the memories came flooding back about how cool the little sculpts were. But, like you said, back then the figures all had that little seam lines and were made of the flesh compound or playdough, both of which do not stand the ravages of time. Please let us know as soon as we can get our grubby little mitts on these.

I have 4 complete sets I have to cast for Al (2 sets as close to the original colors as the originals, 1 set gitd, and the last set ???), then I will be able to fill other orders. I stretched soooooooo thin right now, trying to fill regular LB/GB orders, drill orders, etc..., then molding the SD BB complete set, the 4th GB, and these...not to mention a couple of LB surprises I have sitting in my studio for years (most which no one has even seen before.

It really would help if those interested in a complete set of these pm me and I will start a list and fill them in the order they arrive.

I wish I had a "Sweat Shop" in my studio...I don't have enough time, space, sleep, or arms to do what I am trying to do at this time.

I have had others approach me about other customs to make, mold, cast and honestly...I need to focus on these areas I have going right now and shelf the other requests for other new figures/customs for later in the fall maybe. :lazy:

Thanks for all the interest in this game today and I wish I could have done it on the weekend when everyone had more time, but, I was just so darn excited to post photos of these to new customs!
