Uhh, the existing purple looks far more like grape to me than MUSCLE dark purple.

Oh! I never own the grape/purple set. So many colors. I lost count.

I love OMFG but compared to last year this year has had ALOT more releases. Since September there have been non-stop releases and it gets to be too much if your getting every colorway. Add up everything that has come out so far and it's close to or over $150 in some cases and that's not counting shipping. I originally got into this line because the releases were sporadic and it was a cheap fun hobby. The drops were easy to obtain and again it wasn't expensive. This year alone with crazy fast sell out times and constant drops at all odd hours of the day have made this line a real chore. It's burning me out and I'm sure that I'm not alone. It's not fun. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I'm sure many guys have the same or similar feelings. Compared to last year things were alot more laid back. I miss those days.

I don't want anyone to talk down to me or explain the business of it all. I am just a guy who enjoys collecting OMFG. This is the way I choose to collect. I don't slam anyone for how they collect and I expect the same respect. I am just expressing why I feel the way I do in hopes of maybe having other ppl understand why some of us are so unhappy.

If you don't like the way George is running his ship take the initiative and Kickstart your own line so you can cater to what YOU want. For all the flak George is taking it seems like it should be pretty easy for those unhappy with his system to due their own production right? The option is there for everyone and with my love of minifigs I'd love to see a whole bunch of these lines pop up but for some reason I doubt too many people are going to put their money where their mouth is when they can just argue on the internet instead and complain about what other people are doing instead of doing something themselves. To those that do take the initiative however, props and I'll likely be first in line for your figs too :)

Well, I'm definitely trying to do just that, buddy.

Paul, I get it 100%. I know I am selling sets myself, but other than a trade with Jay, I am having to scramble to get every set as well (and 2 sets of some to give to my son), too. I feel the frustration.

I think there are too many colors as well, but I can't really complain since I went in for 5 this round. But I know where you are coming from.

I think those of us who don't have the "completist" bug have the right idea. Just collect a few colors of each wave that you really like.

Not me though. Gotta catch them all!

I dont find it too bad, this time of year its a bit of a struggle especially as I have 3 children, but all in all most of the toylines I collect, the figures I now need are $30-40 each so $10 for 5 isnt that bad.

I agree Aikola, the price on these guys has always been one of the lines strong points. $10-$15 a pack is a great price for packaged lot of 5 figures. At least most are easy to order online and preorders are good for time to get cash together.
I find with the other line I'm currently collecting, s.l.u.g. Zombies (which AFAIK aren't available in Australia) I'm paying a lot more for these off ebay compared to omfg.

Thanks Jon, atleast someone feels my pain, (if it can be called that, haha!) Don't get me wrong, I love this series. When you have all the colors displayed together it looks amazing! I will still 100% support the line. Just gets kinda crazy at times! Yes I am addicted and I have OCD!

As someone who isn't super invested in this line, and only bought one glow in the dark pack from the first series, I wanted to say that to me, all the different colors just do not interest me. I mean, there's SO many cool toys out there to buy, to me, different colors is equivalent to action figure repaints/variants where say, He Man has a different color emblem and skyrockets in value on the secondary market, and for what, what makes it a BETTER figure? It's just more rare, so people want it. I'm not trying to insult anyone chasing all these colors, if that's what you enjoy, go for yours, more power to you, but for me, I plan on eventually someday picking up some flesh colored ones and will probably just stick to that. I'm really big on variety (as people can see in my collection), and although a bunch of colors of the same guy does look cool on a shelf, it's just not important to me. I'd rather buy a colored MUSCLE sealed 10 pack to go with the flesh one if I'm going to care about other colors of the same figure, or start a new collection, maybe Battle Beasts, or pick up something from one of the other lines i collect.I realize all collectors are different. If you're collecting them because you like how they look all lined up like a rainbow, that's cool. but if you're buying them due to a have to have mindstate or speculating that some will be worth more in the future? That just isn't for me. Also, I think there's PLENTY of toy collectors that aren't obsessive compulsive or narcissistic. I love toys, sure, and I spend alot on them, but I also sell my toys all the time to fund other purchases, and I enjoy looking at OTHERS collections as much as I enjoy looking at my own.

I think that's the big thing. People have to break away from the completist mentality if they feel like it becomes a chore to keep up with it. I like the figures enough to collect a lot of colors, but there are definitely some colors I can and will live without. No big deal.

I think I might be the only one who still enjoys keeping up with releases of new colours.
I can't say its always been easy, and yeah I've missed my fair share of customs by the respective artists but I've still managed to get every colour without too much effort or spending what I consider too much money on them.
For me, the difficulty curve of securing a new release has run alongside the enjoyment curve of actually getting them.
Seems fair to me. Also, I like that its not some faceless organisation and just a bunch of regular people.

I love this line, love the characters, especially love all the crazy colors this year has put out.

I was totally excited when Johnny announced the release of the test run plum color for both series, then putting them in retro type cans was the icing on the cake!

Thank you again for that!

I started collecting late in the game and caught up kinda quick, I also submitted a few characters for series 3 voting & i'm going to keep trying and hopefully in time one of them will get picked.

I don't care how many they make, I will get them all no matter what.

=)
