They don't glow in the Dark. Do they? I still have my original one and it still glows very well.

I wish I could say that. I have one I got from ebay about 5 years ago and it glows like a champ. I bet they make some glow ones too.. I wouldn't be surprised since they were keen enough to make these in the first place, and got the slime right.

No unfortunately they don't glow in the dark :( but each turtle is a different color and size (different sculpts)

Sure some customizer will re-mold them in glow in the dark plastic eventually.

I don't see a lot of appeal in these figures being glow in the dark... Maybe thermal color change, but GITD doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, as a gimmick.

yeah GITD is cool, but are you willing to pay $15-$20 for a custom of a $5-$7 figure?

The appeal is the originals glow in the dark. Radioactive-Toxic waste-mutagen ooze doesn't change color under water it freaking glows in the dark! At least it does in my potentially deluded 80's head.

I wouldn't say you're delusional, not even to be histrionic. I just fail to see the logic in GITD toys that spend most of their life in a canister of jelly.
I mean, there are worse gimmicks... I honestly like how they are releasing them now.
Although, I won't complain if they do upright updated figures, eventually.

The lowest price I found for the set. I figured we'll see them soon with some crazy price.

and people will pay that price because they are too impatient to wait till their TRU gets them.

Which is ridiculous.
I mean, even TRU around Columbus have started getting them, and we're generally late in the curve.

I have Leo and Raph. That's all I care about.
I wish there were more sculpts, though... I don't really have a reason to buy any more.

I picked up a set and gave Mikey and Leo to my oldest son and Don and Raph to my youngest. The ooze tube is smaller than I thought it would be. I didn't mess with the ooze at all, but it looks cool. Nice sculpts on the turtles too, but I probably won't get any more unless the price comes down.

Well, I agree. They aren't $6-$7 figures, and the slime is cool... But not THAT cool.
I'd probably seek out more, if there were more sculpts, though.

Yeah, I couldn't get into the ooze figures or the ooze itself. I don't even like the classic line. I'll stick the the 4 basic turtles, those are awesome...

BUT, have to say, the Anchovy Alley playset is pretty cool. Here's one I repainted next to a plain one:
