In the end my vote went to Airot. Technically it was great, but it was the feeling of...needing interpretation, that made me vote for it. I felt like I should research the trees and their origin, and the significance of the bird. Frankly, I doubt that much thought went into it, but that was the feeling I got. I guess emotional response was the deciding factor for me this time.

The little fellow with the bird on his shoulder is actually a fistful of power series 2 figure, he had a bird nesting on his shoulder, so I drew it in, lol. I should have specified when I entered it that it was gormiti and fistful of power, but I forgot.

I guess my thought process was "hey, this fistful dude looks a bit like this other gormiti dude. I should do some kind of battle to the death, or weird comparison... hey wait. What if they fall in love? Forbidden romance. I like it." I was even thinking of adding someone in the backgound, maybe another gormiti forest person, looking shocked. But then I thought that might be taking it a little too far and I left it out.

And thanks everyone else for your kind compliments and kinder votes.

Oh, and I imagine the girl to be the gormiti figure, what with the skirt and all. Although I wasn't really thinking about gender when I drew it so you can chose to interpret genders however you like.

i think leaving out the third shocked character was a wise decision. it would only take away from the scene. after your explanation of the picture i think i love it even more. great work, it's clear that others loved it too, you're very much in the running to take this contest. good luck.
