Well, I just got back from WalMart and I HAD to get and Acklay (SW E2) and the new Cobra Hiss IV. That makes 5 consecutive trips to a store in which I HAD to buy a toy. I now believe that I am an addict. I have so many toys now that I had to have a seperate room (400 sq ft.) for them, and now they're filling up in here too. What am I going to do? I just can't control my self anymore....or maybe I DON'T want to control my self anymore. ANyways, what do you think about a lawsuit against Hasbro, Mattell and the other toy companies. Hey, if the fat guy can sue McDonald's for his fattness, I'm sure I can get a case going.

i voted for myself as a social user. but my use goes in ups and downs, kind of a roller coaster. i like to ride the addiction so to speak. but averaged out, i would say it isn't too bad.
besides, i can stop anytime i want to.....
stop it! don't look at me like that.
...i can.
really!.....aha....hahahaha....................

That's pretty strong evidence that you're an addict! I used to be an addict myself. Then I got cleaned up, and now I'm a productive member of society!
In all seriousness, after about 5 years of heavy toy collecting, I realized that toys were virtually ruling my life, and I decided to move in other directions. Nowadays I only buy the toys that I think are beyond cool, mainly because of the reasons you mentioned. After awhile, they really fill up your place (and empty your wallet)! And I also noticed that they really don't do much for improving my life. I mean, they're cool and all, but will buying the new Castle Greyskull (for example) positively affect my life? Not really...
That said, I did end up dropping $50 on Attack of the Clones figures when they were released. So I guess I'm not completely cured.

I went for social. I used to be addicted but getting married and haveing little money can cure you rather quickly.
Now I am trying to sell some of my collection off because i dont have any room. So I guess I'm a recovering TA.

After my first few weeks on ebay, I became a psychotic addict of buying M.U.S.C.L.E.'s. I could not stop. I was crazy. That's why I have so many leftovers, I guess. But now that I have my enormous collection, I am cured! I have stopped the bidding and started the selling. It's a great feeling, I am in control now. Or am I, just bought more from Toybliss, nooooo! Sealed 10-Packs and a sealed Wrestling Ring, how could I resist! The urge to buy the rare stuff is still there, oh yes, very much so.
But I'll be okay, just have to let the M.U.S.C.L.E. tar remove itself from my lungs over time. They have M.U.S.C.L.E.rette gum and M.U.S.C.L.E.tine
patches now for all you addicts like me. Helps control the cravings!

I used to collect porn but I got rid of it all and now I collect toys again. Somehow I think it's alot healthier for the mind...
