You realize that 3 is the amount of runs that Carpenter has given up total in his last seven starts right?

In that same amount of time though he has gotten 3 complete game shutouts as well.

I'll just go with the odds.

Carpenter also threw a complete game shut out against the Cubs earlier this year, his first in over two years at that time!

He's been completely lights out and I personally hope that his dominance continues!

Man, even though the Cubs lost, what a well played game. Both starters looked amazing. I know I am biased, but I did think Zambrano looked a bit better than Carpenter tonight. They both looked amazing. Even with the loss, it was an exciting game.

It was worth two points for guessing the correct score, one point for guessing the correct team!

And you're right, it was a great ball game. Zambrano was amazing! Striking out 12 and not walking anybody.

I personally didn't feel that Carpenter had his best stuff, but he was just as effective.

It's good to see both starting pitchers go 9 innings. It's such a rarity these days...

I knew that the suicide sqeeze was gonna happen with David Eckstein at the plate, I saw St. Louis play against Arizona about two weeks ago in the same type of situation and with the same result!

That game ended with St. Louis winning 2-1 as well!
