Pro-Doh playset Hasbro 1996

i cannot find ANY info

Best Answer bigazzhead , 12 July 2013 - 07:06 AM

Well here are the pics. I couldn't find the mold though. I might have it packed up with my other Play Doh molds.  And yes it is tiny. the soldiers it made were probably about 3/4 to an inch tall.

You can see  I'm missing the mold and the actual Pro Doh. I bought it used so I never got my hands on any Pro-doh, so I can't say what that stuff was like. it also came with some markers to color your creations.

Better look at the front

Here's the Back of the box

I kinda like on the playmat, they made the interior for the base.

And there were some other sets like a speedway and dinosaur themed.

I'm digging the dinotheme one, but last time I saw one on Ebay the seller was asking a stupid price.

hi, all.  i came across this in my basement.  it says Pro-Doh.  It was made by Hasbro in 1996.  However, I have NO idea what it was for or what came with it.  It is very small and only seems to kinda be in scale with my Army Zerboz.  I cannot find anything about this line on the interwebs.  I would love it if somebody sent me a link or a photo of the playset complete.

Thanks a bunch.

"New offerings for 1996 include Pro-Doh™, a modeling compound which air-hardens to make mini-sculptures..."

From a Hasbro press release, on a portion referring to the Play-Doh brand. Only the vaguest familiarity clicking in my head from looking at the logo and that statement, but I believe Pro-Doh was a more permanent alternative to Play-Doh, sort of a way for Hasbro to mix the appeal of Play-Doh with minifigure play. It was probably of some kind of military theme, with all the relevant bits to molding the figures or whatever else being gone from the playset now. Clearly not a concept that took off since it's like pulling teeth trying to find any info.
