I didn't know where else to put this so here it is.

I need a tiny car toy for a project. Smaller then a micro machine if possible. Looking for something that is just a basic car. Nothing to fancy really. I have no idea where to even start looking.

if you're going for the smallest you can possibly get, theres a model railroad  scale 1:450.....but that may be too small for what you need

1:144 scale is slightly smaller than Micromachines. (but it varies by car)

im thinking "N" scale, 1:160 scale would work, unless you want really tiny. then the Micro-Machines insiders are best.

***This guy has a bunch of 1:60 scale cars***

An average-sized car, accurately scaled down to 1:450, would be 0.48 inches long and 0.12 inches high. I remember the ultra-small Micro Machines being close to that length, but considerably taller.
