These must be selling well because my Targets have gone from carrying 1 box of these where the trading cards are near the checkout to carrying 3 boxes full! Before, they were just 1 box mostly depleted and now they're overtaking the trading card shelf space.

It also seems that they've expanded their products in the U.S. market. Aside from the usual tins, 2-packs w/goo, and blind-bagged figures, we now have:

-individual figures with battle vehicles (catapults).
-individual figures in egg-shaped containers.

http://www.predasaurs.com/us/dna_fusion/products/1/1/

And we're probably going to get the insect series now that we have a U.S. website for it:

http://www.predasaurs.com/us/insect_invasion/home/

And the products for the insect series will be the same types as the 1st series consisting of tins, 2-packs w/goo, blind-bagged figures, a bigger box of blind-bagged figures, and individual figures with battle vehicles (catapults).

http://www.predasaurs.com/us/insect_invasion/products/

So I basically cleaned out a few Targets near me and I think I have all of the available figures now. Let me say that these are totally awesome. Mini Primal Rage!

I see that Amazon has what seems to me like a series two, like the ones pictured in the previous post. The question is, will the packs with the new colors and art have brand new Predasaurs to collect, or is this simply a marketing update?

The current issue of the UK kid's magazine Toxic (dated March 6 to March 26) has a series 1 Micro Predasaurs blind bag (apparently distributed by The In Thing in the UK) and a Magic Box Kobots figure (in a poly bag rather than the full retail packaging so not sure if this is a random figure or they've just supplied a specific one) on the cover, not too bad for a cover price of £2.99.

So, having had a look at The In Thing's website it looks like these Micro figures are actually smaller versions of the main line figures, same 25 sculpts but shrunk down to 2cm and with the weapons moulded to the hand rather than separate. I hadn't even realised there were smaller versions up until now. The foil packs are still hexagonal but mainly yellow rather than the black of the main series 1 packs and with 'Micro' ahead of the Predasaurs logo. UK retail for these is apparently only 99p per pack, not sure if they'll be showing up in the US in the smaller size.

Probably not. I can't speak for how popular the Predasaurs were everywhere, but at my ToysRUs they just sit in their display box up near the registers.

I have this bundle on pre-order from the In Thing, seems like good value even after you add the 20% VAT:

Strontium Dog: So are the Predasaurs listed in your link part of a second series, or is it all the old dinos with new packaging and some minis/ playsets?

I think the blister packs are the first series of regular sized dinos, as those hadn't yet been released here, while the 99 pence foil packs (of which they kindly sent me a free sample) are miniature versions with the weapons affixed to the dino.

I actually just saw these on ebay and got excited to see Predasaurs for so cheap. Sadly, they were only these minis.

I got my order today, I've only opened 4 of the tins so far and got all 4 of the tin exclusive dinos, which is handy. So far I'm really loving these. But the concept is great, gene-spliced dinosaurs wielding clubs and axes, it would be hard to screw that up.

Been a while since I've updated. I've managed to snag all but 3-4 of the normal figures by feeling the packets, ended up with a handful of extras though including 3 vultarex. >:( I don't know why but I keep getting him! I guess I just like the heft of the packet.

I really hope those micros make it over to the US. I dig the tinier toy lines.

Yeah, I am really interested in the smaller ones, too. I liked the regular ones, but just don't have the room for another big collection. A smattering of tiny guys is a lot easier to explain away.

So I just discovered these at Target; never thought to look for LRG in the trading card section before so I guess I just never encountered them. I bought one and really dig the figure (Tyraplatosaurus) so I looked them up on Amazon and was surprised to find so little. Did I understand correctly that the yellow packaged blind bags of DNA Fusion are just the micros and not different sculpts from the black/foil blind bags that are currently at Target in the US? Or is there a second wave of DNA Fusion in yellow blind bags as well?

Also, for you guys interested in the Micros, there's a guy on Amazon selling 10-packs for $14 + free shipping which is cheaper than the 99p (~$1.50USD) price-mark. The confusing bit on this guy's listing though is that the description and statement that they're 'blister packs' seems to indicate they're the regular sized figures (he even says they're 5cm), but the title says 'Micro' so I dunno...

Oh, and if anyone has duplicates hit me up! Not too crazy about trying to retail my way through another blind packaged line :)

That Amazon link says $49.99 for 10 blister packs.

No, they won't be micros, they'll be the regular sized dinos. Just an idiot seller who doesn't know the difference.

Thus far I've yet to find any Micro Predasaurs seller who has bettered the £0.00 cost for 36 packs from The In Thing...

I ordered five blind packs from a guy in Germany for the Insect Invasion. I've been a giddy little school girl all the way home today because my wife informed me I got the package.

To be honest though, I'm kind of surprised/disappointed. Three out of four of my guys don't stand up at all without proper assistance. (Deformed feet.) Their tail weapons and helmets are all falling off pretty easily, and some weapons aren't staying in either. The sculpts are so goddamn cool that I want to LOVE this line up though. To rub salt in the wound, the trading cards all came crumpled and bent out of shape due to the crappy packaging of the manufacturer.

Sadly, I think I'm going to opt out of this line up from here on out. Unless someone can convince me that this is a random mistake?

My TRU recently got the Cage and Volcano sets. Here is a pic of the Cage. It also has a hinge in the middle to open up that way. I think the sets are $11.99 or $12.99 and come with 1 figure (usually Gutho or Akila).

36fc.jpg

Does anybody have an extra of Enok to sell or trade? It's one of the tribe leaders. The big blue one with a long, twisty neck. It's probably an easy one to feel for in a blind pack, but I can't find those packs anymore. I've got an extra Vulltarex and the Kabell Special that comes in the tin packaging to trade. This is Enok:

I just saw the cage and the Volcano at a Tuesday Morning for $5.99 per, plus some figure 2-packs for about the same price.  Bought the cage.

Now being clearanced in Home Bargains. Guess this line is a flop.

Micro Predasaurs foil packs @ 19p each
Single Predasaur blisters @ 49p each
Battle Packs @ 99p each
Collector tins @ 99p each
Catapult sets @ £1.99 each

Although the tins and catapult sets had sold out in the store I went to.

This is bad news for the little toy shop in my village - they went all out on the official display stand and all the figures a while ago and never really seemed to shift any. Now there at such a low price at HB I guess they're screwed unless they drop them to a similar rate.

Sounds like they got the fully stocked FSDU from The In Thing, that was a pretty good deal at the time.

It took me an age to shift my spare Battle Sets on eBay, in the end I got £10 for 6 doublepacks, which doesn't look so bad now.

It's all about brands these days unfortunately, you look at what the "experts" are predicting will be the top 10 toys this Christmas, and 90% of it is tedious derivative or gimmicky shite.

Anyone know if Toys R' Us in the U.S. has the battle sets?

Also, anyone hear when Insect Invasion will be released in the U.S.? I can't even seem to find them on U.K. Ebay or Amazon.
