I won a States ebay auction for a shop counter box full of unopened USA MIMP Trading Cards (48 Packs of 5 Cards & 2 Stickers). I have 1 full set of Trading Cards, 1 near complete set, 1 full set of the Monster Island Sticker Poster Puzzle and 1 near complete sticker set. I was building the second sets as I was trying to complete the first set (opening those packets was just the most heart wrenching experiance ever, I didn't even have the stones to open the first 5-10 packs and got my missus to do it for me) but I finally got the Kraken and completed my first set. I will be putting the first set into a display folder designed for trading cards and I will find a nice way to display the Sticker Puzzle (probably laminate it when stuck down to something) and the second set was going to be a collection for me to enjoy myself (a touch and feel set :p) but I have only 13 packs left of the 48 xD and don't know if I should just open the rest of the packs to complete the second set or try to find someone who trades these... trading cards... still...

So help me out fella's, I don't know what to do here. Oh and I have about 70 spare cards and stickers, a big pile of cards that I don't know what to do with.

Andy, if your out there still... what happened to the site?

Aikola, hope you got the package this time, I went to the doctors the other day and was told that I appear to have slight dislexia but only when I write, not when I type... I asked him where he got his medical license because I would love one myself if he got it online xD but apparently he went to university and knows what he is talking about.

Brojo, you got any full sets of series 1-5 spare? I'm spending money on MIMP stuff I didn't start off intending to buy just because I can't find any cards on ebay :D and this addiction is going to put me in debt if I don't stop haha.

Truman, what happened buddy, did you get those pieces you were after or do you still need them? I got a couple of sets of mimp figures I won recently on the way and will add them to my catalogue asap, also I have got to update the webby after my trade with Aikola so there may be some items delivered I don't need that you might (series 2 + etc...).

p.s.

I also won myself a green Ganesha but have my eyes on a blue Ganesha auction at the moment as well. If I get those 2, completing series 2 in blue and green should be a lot easier after that (btw is there an orange and pink Ganesha or were they not made in that colour, never seen one and not researched it so hoping someone knows, my guess is yes there are but rare due to being pulled)

I'd open all but one pack. That way you have at least one sealed pack to display and you will still get to open all the others to try for your second set.

But, in the words of "El Duderino", thats just like uh, my opinion, man.

:p haha,

Asator, you make one hell of a convincing argument buddy. I'm going to get right onto that :D but second question is... do I keep the counter box they came in or do I throw it?

Appreciate your answers on those questions brojo bro, I'm not after the ganesha in the other colours but is good to know they did come in those colours. I didn't realise they replaced them with series 1 figures though, thats interesting. Were they in different colours to their series 1 counterparts or just pulled straight from series 1? If they are in series 2 colours I would have to get a hold of them as they would still be part of the series 2 set although not the original line-up right? Also, did they reproduce the cards for series 2 with the series 1 figures or did they leave the battlecards with the ganesha and herne?

Right, whilst you guys think on that I'm going to go open more packs  anyone interested in USA trading cards series 1? If so I will post up what I have in the topic brojo mentioned, but only if I see some interest in them here.

Update:

I got 7 unopened packs, 2 full sets of trading cards, 1 full set of stickers & too many spares to count. I could make them up into sets with a note to say which are missing if anyone would be interested in buying them. Will make a post with what I've got in the trade list (well, edit my old post).

AWESOME! Glad to hear that you got your second set without having to open all your packs. Again, in my opinion, I would save the box and perhaps use it as some sort of display. Maybe you could put all your extra figures in it? I think I'm just a sucker for awesomely displayed collectables.

ok, big question to ask you guys. WTF is going on with the US Trading Cards checklist? Is the Ogre supposed to be a 10 pointer or a 15 pointer? The checklist says it should be 10, the card is printed with 15 on the back and with a 15 pointer's boarder around the information on the back.

Also, the Hobgoblin is a 10 when the checklist says it should be a 15. I need to know as i'm putting them in a display book and atm they are out of order due to the 2 being different to the checklist.

Is this a 48-off error or were all trading card packs released with the same mistake?

Every trading card I've seen has the same error with the Ogre point value and border.

He's supposed to be a 10 point figure, and Hobgoblin 15.

kool. Didn't think I'd be lucky enough to find a factory feck up in 48 packs xD

so the checklist for uk and usa (checklist not cards xD) is correct then? Just so i can sort my cards correctly. I've put the ogre and the hobgoblin as last and first in their point values respectively for the USA Trading Cards which means they are out of order according to the checklist but in order compared to the backs. It looks better and they are for my pleasure in the display folder not others I suppose so it doesnt matter but its a bit annoying  my argentinean cards (although missing quite a few monsters due to their thinned down range) are in order and the goblin and ogre arn't in the same place as the other book (plus they have the correct point values) which makes it look messy xD.

n/m its one of those things ay ;) I will survive. I just need a full set of UK Series 1 BattleCards now. Brojo, any chance you can show me pictures of some of those card sets you got (1 card of each set if possible) to see if I would be interested in collecting them? would be great if you could, but not on yahoo though, I don't use it at all so I don't have access to any pics that are posted up here as links to the yahoo group pics.

I tried getting intouch with the seller to get him to post photo's of the backs so I could tell but I got no reply from him. Then the listing dissapeared. PSullitt has info (confirmed or not im unsure) on his website that there were series 2 and 3 cards made in argentina and if they were then I missed an excellent buy and I may have to kill myself xD
