Hey guys, many of you know what I collect and that Gormiti isn't part of it. However, I spotted 10-15 figures, some with cards, in a local charity shop today. I didn't buy them as I know nothing about them, but presume they will still be there if I was to go back tomorrow. I'm just looking for some basic info on which figures people collect or are most popular? Some of the figures today included:

Some birds/eagles wearing green or blue, various sizes
Some crab type creatures in blue, various sizes
A tree man like creature in brown, taller and wider than other figs
A tall red creature with a long grey tail (had a card)
Various others in red and yellow with moveable arms maybe

They all were pretty cool looking really!

Hope some of you can satisfy my curiosity in these figures

I hate to say this, but at least on this side of the pond there aren't many Gormiti worth the price paid for them. That being said, in the UK I think the popularity of Gormiti was stronger. This resulted in some fans importing figures from Italy. There are a handful of rare Gormiti that came out in Italy, namely the ones issued with the magazines. I think some of the other guys might be able to help you out more, I think Strontium Dog is one of the foremost UK collectors of Gormiti (hope that opinion doesn't offend anyone). He would be the best to tell you if that lot is worth money.

There are two figures that were supposed to get released in the states but never did, they are Multiform anonymous and The Mastadonic, they should be cataloged in the price guide thread (which contains no prices yet :D) Far down the road they might be worth something to US collectors. I have tinkered with the notion of buying as many loose of those two characters as I can of ebay.uk. But for now I think I have far too many extra US release packs in my collection for somewhere far down the road to concern myself with collecting anything more in Gormiti these days. It also sucks that Gormiti died a swift death in the US. Eventually I might round out my collection with the rest of the UK releases that didn't come out in the US as I prefer the English Language packaging over the Italian. Also I pretty much collect most of my stuff in package.

Remember, stick to what you think is cool to collect, and you should never really be disappointed that way.

Sounds like your basic assortment of figs, each style represents a tribe, water, forest, air, earth and volcano, the larger ones are Lords.

Here in the states about 6 months ago they discounted them to move and you could pick up a six pack for around $5, while not as popular over here and having limited release they do have some cool figs and for the right price might be worth grabbing just to have some.

Right thanks for the info you two. Sounds like pretty standard figures from what you've said using my vague descriptions. They were listed at 50p each including their card.

I've had a quick browse through the guide you mentioned and 2 of the larger figures I spotted were Tasarau and Magmion I beleive. Do all of the figures have movable arms?

None of them should have movable arms. Some of the later series do.

50p each is about their money, I would tend to sell series 1 figures with card for 45p/75 cents each (or at least try to, since nobody has wanted any Gormiti from me for months).

Cheers Stront - if I did get them now it would just be for my own collection of LRG's then. A couple certainly looked like they had arms that moved, based on the look of the joint around the shoulder. All this leaves me wondering why the series never caught on (especially in the States) as the figures look kind of cool in their own little way. They reminded me of the Ben 10 mini figs they sell in my local Sainsburys ha!

Yeah unless they are for your own collection I wouldnt bother, I got rid of my doubles a while back and managed a measley 10 quid for 12 of them.

I've still never seen Stront list those Final Evolution figures as I'd requested months ago. Now of course I'm not in a position to buy them even if he finally got around to it.

I did my best to single handedly make them popular in Ohio, but alas that didn't work. I really had a fun time collecting them and am very happy I became part of the LRG community. I really appreciate all the trades/sales/etc with the other great members of the board. Now I have some very large boxes full of gormiti that will move with me for years until I have the ultimate Super Gormiti War!
