I hear ya man! My local Fred Meyer sold out of 4 cases in 3 days. I couldn't believe it. No other series has come close to that sort of popularity in my area. Not the monsters series, nor the Simpsons, not even the one with Mr. Gold. Maybe people are thinking they will be worth a ton in the future. Or maybe they are just highly desirable. I guess the characters span just about every generation so they appeal to, well, everyone.

I generally just collect monster figures but a couple are just too cool to pass up. I was able to snag Mickey and Minnie. Now I'm just after an Ursula, Cheshire Cat, Buzz and Little Green Alien. I'm hoping they get some more in stock. I find it surprising the cast of characters they decided on. I feel like it is very random and they missed out on what could have been some pretty sweet Disney Lego figures...

Another item that has been sitting in my watch list forever. It's super cheap but just haven't picked it up. A glow in the dark rubix cube. I wish the colored stickers glowed as well as the plastic form. At $3 it's hard to complain though. I think it would be a great addition to any gitd collection.

...well, that's actually Thrust. Megatron just happened to be on all the series 2 boxes.

 

May be caving on this auction in particular. I don't like the TRU exclusives in this line since I never get a chance to visit one and NEVER see them in-stock on the online store. Hopefully Celebi is more like Mew than the super-tiny Darkrai.
