A new posts up on the Beastformers Blog combining some information that´s been gathered from various posts on LRG into on post in order to make sure the information is preserved and organized.

This post is about the Hierarchy of the Laser Beasts because like White Leo (Pirate Lion) leader of the Battle Beasts on Planet Beast the Laser Beasts, living Underground on that same Planet, have a great leader as well; The Emperor of the Underground Kingdom!

Laser Beasts Hierarchy

Might be an interesting read, have fun and...

Enjoy the Beasts!

Interesting!

I never heard of Shadow Beasts as a kid. They just weren't around long enough for me to have anything besides Battle Beasts.

This is really interesting to consider how, if Laser Beasts/Shadow Beasts had been around, Battle Beasts and Laser Beasts would have battled each other. It seems like it could have a been really fun line for kids if it had fully developed. Back in the early 2000s when I collected, I think most of us had no idea about the full role of Laser Beasts.

As an aside, is there a way to tell if a Laser Beast is a Laser Beast or a Shadow beast? Are there different Japanese or North American markings? I don't remember if this question ever got answered, and I'd love to go look at mine and see if they were actually released here or imported.

The answer to that is pretty simple because both, as far as they were released outside of Japan, countries got the same figures all produced in China. The only difference among them is the fact that some ended up being packed for the Japanese market while others were packed for the US or EU market all in their own type of packaging. So the packaging is distinct but inside are figures that originate from the same factory.

There are different versions of Laserguns around, as a recent post on the Beastformers Blog showed, but so far there are no signs of different molds used for the Laser Beasts like we´ve seen with the Battle Beasts. Due to their relatively short life span there probably was no (more) need to create other/new molds.

But who knows, sometimes new discoveries are made and even after 30+ years the line continues to surprise us every now and than.

I will always place the mission first.
