Well, we have many threads that show interactions between members. If you want a better handle on things, look at other threads. It doesn't matter which ones, so long as you aren't using topics from the Junkyard as inspiration.
If you're looking for toys, you are in the right thread, (which is great for a first timer). Personally, when I'm looking to buy figures in bulk I start with what I am willing to pay.
So say I was looking to buy some Battle Beasts and I didn't care which one, I would say something like this;
Looking for some Battle Beasts, I've got "X" to spend and that includes my shipping costs. I'm looking for figures in "X" shape with their weapons and rubs. I would prefer to get as many as possible from the same seller. Thanks in advance!
You don't have to use this format, it's just an example to tell people what it is you are looking for and are willing to pay. We don't enforce any particular prices on the board, so different people will offer you different prices on the same figures, I'm sure. Your best bet to properly gauge pricing is to either check ebay "sold" listings or check in our "What's it Worth?" section. We do our best to protect our members but like I said, we certainly don't have a strict pricing guide that people need to adhere to.
Welcome to the boards! We look forward to having another collector and hope you enjoy your stay.

Well that's easy! Collect MUSCLES instead! ; )
(Cause I know very little about BB lol...)
IN all seriousness you came to the right place. These guys will take care of ya. You might want to be a bit more specific in what you are asking for though. What I imagine would be a good place to start is, buy a lot or two on Ebay just to start you off... check w the board first so that you can clarify prices and that way you know you won't be getting ripped off. And then as your collection starts to fill... use the board to help you fill the holes!
Good luck and WELCOME!

Hey there, if you're looking for Beasts you did find the right place, and depending on who you talk to you can find better deals and friendlier people here than you can on eBay. Regarding how it works though, there are some members who trade only, some who trade and sell, and others who are primarily re-sellers (mostly from eBay) who watch the forums to pick up additional sales.
I'm currently getting rid of the last few extra beasts I had from building my own set. I don't have any incomplete beasts left, but a handful of completes if you check out the 'Sale/Trade' banner in my sig. I do prefer trades if you have anything on my list.
Welcome to the site.

I just started collecting like 3 weeks ago and have about 30 already. Since you are starting and not picky you can usually keep an eye out for some decent Ebay auctions. The best advice I have is be patient and don't be afraid to offer what you think is a good deal.
For series 1 and 2 if you are patient you can get the figures for $3-4/piece and the weapon adds on at least $3 if not more.
Series 3 can go similar to 1 and 2 or more likely to be $5-6/figure and 3-4 a weapon.
Ebay prices are really inflated and there are a couple of guys who double the price just to make some money, but if you start with a big lot and spend 100-200 at once you can get some good deals. (ex of mine is bought 22 figures all with weapons and rubs and 9 of them were series 3 for a total of 135 plus shipping). Cash talks and immediate payment can sweeten the pot. Stay patient, stick to your max price and don't get excited but the thrill of outbidding and you can get a good collection at a reasonable price. I am half way there and my wife hasn't killed me yet so I must be doing ok.
Always Looking for Battle Beasts PM if you got extras!!!!

Topic has been moved to the appropriate section. When you're ready to make some deals, make another post in the "Need Toys' section. It'll keep things clean for you.

I started my collection of BB's when I first joined the board almost three years ago. I still haven't completed my set because I haven't found what I need at reasonable prices. Although everything I have, I have paid either average or below average for.

My wife wants to murder me every time a package comes through the door.

Look for the large ebay lots this is where you find the best value for money.
Try and get as many series 3 in there as you can.
The more with rubs and weapons the better.
This will save you time and money later.
Also condition may not bother you to much but as you get more and more into the toy line you will most likely want to upgrade that. So if you can't start your collection off with nice condition stuff it will again save you time and money later.
Good luck and happy collecting.

Go for BB 1-76, maybe go after LB 77-88. That is all the US releases which is still affordably obtainable. Going beyond that point, you better be prepared to give up your first born.
