Any ideas whats these are?

Best Answer Strontium Dog , 03 March 2015 - 04:04 AM

Yeah, this is the European release of Army Ants, known as Termitors in the UK and Kombattini on the continent.

They aren't worth a great deal I'm afraid.

Hey All,

I was wondering if anybody know what these figures are. I have had them since a kid, so I would say they are at least 20ish years old.

Any ideas what they are worth if anything lol?

Thanks all

Acorn

If my memory serves me correctly they were called Termitors. You could buy them in my local sweet shop in England. They looked legit to me lol. They came in packets. We are talking early 90's.

Hah!  It's happened before where the OP figures out the answer before anyone else, but this case is especially odd, like Acorn is two entirely different people!

...or someone with two accounts.

Slightly better colors than the US versions. Even as a kid I could not stand these.  Blue and orange ants were just the most pinheaded thing ever to little kid me.  I never understood how a toy company could make ants with four legs.  It made no sense to my little kid brain how these could have even been made -- like it was all perpetrating some lie.  False advertising or something.  I refused to ever watch A Bugs Life for the same reason.  News flash Disney -- insects have six legs.  Funny thing is, I just watched Antz last week (for the first time ever) once I realized their design had six legs and the film overall has adult innuendo (and it was on Netflix).   And even though I can't stand Woody Allen, it wasn't all that bad.

lol Nope only one account.

I did not even realise I had solved it. I had been looking for ages for them but originaly thought thet were called Termitetors. (Hence why no search results) I always thought they were meant to be Termites not Ants.

It was only my spellcheck that corrected it to Termitors lol

Oh well at least I know now.

This guy did it in just over an hour though. I'm bloody impressed!

I double checked to make sure that it was, indeed, the same person. You made me think it was like Acorn and Ac0rn or something. That ninja makes me uneasy.
