I don't necessarily. But I have noticed when you buy them you can only get certain ones. I just went and bought 5 12 packs and only got one fig I needed. As the second wave has not been released in my area. Between that and fellow collectors having the exact same needs list I know they are sold in waves. I have no idea how they decide which figs in which waves to release though.

i did some research on wave 1 and 2 just after series 3 was released. Here are the results http://dementedtoys..../msg243/#msg243
the official word is wave 2 will be out in march and series 4 will be released mid year.

Interesting stuff, I guess the UK got both waves together because my 12 packs have contained figures from both.

Spright,

Thanks for the information. I was wondering why every time I go to TRU, I find the same trashies that I already have. Any idea how we will know by the packaging what is wave 2?

Thanks!

For series 1, I know there was a different numerical code on the back that identified the wave. Not sure if that's the case this time around...

With wave 2 of series 2, the visible figures in the packs were suddenly figures you never saw in wave 1, like Putrid Pretzel and Spewghetti. The packaging looked the same.

Wave 3.5 hit Target.  The date stamp on the back is the giveaway.  It ends in 13.  I think, 6.13.13 something like that.  I have found the Red Ketchup, Yellow BBQ, and Red Bin Brute packs that show a 2ave 3.5 trashie.

I picked up a couple of wave 2 five packs at target also.  Like Red5 said, there is a date code stamped(not printed) into the lower left corner on the back that ends in "13".  I got an orange fishbowl and red ketchup.

Thanks for the heads up. I can't remember the last time I bought a series 3 pack for my kids. Wave 1 of series 2 seemed to have many more variations of visible figures in the packs than wave 1 of series 3 did.
