Hello! Although I re-registered recently, I'm a huge fan of this forum and as a die-hard fan of Fistful of Power, I consider it a gold mine. I lost my previous account register keys so here I am again.

Anyway, I've been a fan and collector of the FoP series since its beginning, and I've also visited all fan communities and groups about them. What I've seen is people wanting the series 3 to come back but no one decided to bring Fistful of Power back to life.

I'm going to try my best to revive the series because I love FoP, the concept, the designs, and the unexploited potential surrounding it. It just feels like there could've been something more, that it deserved a lot more and was left for dead for no reason. Or at least, it could have been given one more opportunity.

However, I can't promise I'll be successful or even constant enough with this project in case I don't get sufficient support or progress, because despite this project is founded on illusion and passion, it can only be sustained just like any other business.

For all these reasons, I have conceived what I like to call a "Renaissance Project" for this series. This implies not only a new, more honorable end for the series but also a new beginning - a retelling of the History of Scar and its inhabitants. Note that although I deeply respect and appreciate the original work and designs as created by Craig Bruyn, the mind behind FoP, I think this series will need a deeper and reshaped background. Anyway, I'll explain these things as the project advances.

Project Planning

The scheme I have in mind for the Renaissance Project is made of the following stages:

  1. Project Manifesto & The FoP Reddit
  2. Fistful of Power Website revival & redesign
  3. FoP Novels Decalogy
  4. FoP Tabletop Gameplay Redesign
  5. FoP Videogame/s
  6. Fistful of Power figures relaunch (Series 3 onwards)
  7. Fistful of Power merchandising

I know some will say this is unlikely to become true or achieve any sort of success - they're right, and yet I'll try. I'm a one-man company, alone in this project right now, and thus I'll have a hard time moving through the stages, but if I use some help this will be easier - otherwise, I can't grant the project to develop further from this manifesto. However, in case it fails, I'll keep on creating FoP media, and although the second, sixth and seventh stages won't be possible, I'll do my best to complete the other four.

So, what's the help I'm asking for? This is the first stage today, and I've already created a Reddit community for the FoP series. I've been posting some of the archived resources from the original FoP website for a while. But please, post whatever you feel like - always related to FoP and no other toy series - or even use it as a trading/buying/selling platform for the figurines themself. So I'm asking you to join the community if you love the FoP series as much as I do. I'll give you the URL below, thanks for your time.

Hey there,

It was a pleasure to read your post. To be honest, I was actually thrilled to see something like this pop up. I've also been a die-hard fan of Fistful of Power from the beginning. I can still vividly remember opening my first two pack as a kid. The first two characters I pulled were Chogotai and Maneta! Good times... I guess the obsession never really died for me.

I have to agree with you. It does feel like there could've been something more and I wish that was the case! I really do. I've had a few discussions with people on here about the possibilities for regions, where the lore could have gone, what 'The One' would've looked like etc... So much room for growth.

Sadly, I'm not sure if it was left for dead for no reason. I remember seeing packs upon packs of Series 2 that remained unsold at local stores. I can only assume the worldwide sales weren't great. I'm not too sure though.

Anyway, it was depressing to see this incredible line seemingly disappear overnight and be forgotten about. In my opinion, it was an iconic series and I loved everything about it. I can't believe how fast the years have flew by.

I'm not sure if I could be of any help, but I am a massive fan and have a lot of knowledge about FOP. I appreciate what you're doing and would love to see something take off. If Series 3 was ever somehow miraculously released, I'd probably spend a few grand (not even joking). I wish I could see that happening, but if I'm being honest - I have my doubts. These days, toys are... A little simpler.. Something that I'd personally love to see would be Craig starting a kickstarter for something FOP related. Releasing two or three new sculpts would be a dream come true.

Feel free to send me a message if you want to chat about anything!

Cheers!

would very had loved to see the design of the "series 3 the uprising" figure's. the only one I know is Strawk (winner of a drawing contest), but i'm convinced the work was advenced enough and at least the drawings were existing, maybe some sculpts too.

I am 100% on board with this.  I asked this before years ago but did anyone archive the profile pictures for the different characters?  Would love to have those.  Heck, I'd trade actual FOPs for those pics!

Thanks everyone for the support. I've been quite busy these past few months and ultimately unable to keep the project going, but I've been reshaping and expanding the lore surrounding Xar, Scar and the FOP series. I've read all of your posts and I hope to begin working in the second phase of the project soon.

Yes, that's the website revival and redesign part, but first of all I need to launch and publish a business-only, unrelated site to act as the main domain in which I'll create the site in a subdomin, and once it's finished I'll migrate and publish it on a fistfulofpower dedicated site.

I'm thinking about fistfulofpower.work, given it's the cheapest extension I have available at the moment. If some of you have any ideas or suggestions for the site, please let me know.

I'd really need the secret figures' power points for this project. If someone knows, please tell me.

I know Crystal Cutter's points are 10 thanks to someone from this forum.

Thanks in advance.

:fop: IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT :fop:

It's in pre-pre-Alpha, but I managed to create an FOP card game on Dulst. It's a place where you can switch every card they give you from a Hearthstone-clone game and "theme" it as you see fit. Pretty simple, but that seemed kind of unoriginal to me, so I managed to code some slightly different game - this meant good consequences (which I'm going to explain) and bad consequences (incompatibility issues that destroyed the in-game AI, so there's no way to play man vs machine matches, which are my personal favorites).

So I named it Fistful: The Powering, or FTP for short.

The game cards include:

- Every single FOP character from series 1 and 2, including warlords, secrets, and even Strawk.

- A set of magic cards with the (unauthorized, not for commercial use, and free of any attempt of attribution) art of Craig Bruyn (designer of FOP) and other people from whom I borrowed some designs from their Pinterest, DeviantArt, etc. It's not meant to be sold or attributed, so all rights go to their respective owners. All of the Craig arts were just sketches I painted using some AI software.

- Another set of item cards, stronghold cards, and power-up cards of the same sort as the aforementioned.

The game rules are more or less those from Hearthstone, but they differ here:

- Two shadows or two hypers from the same region may be fused for an additional mana cost, creating a hyper or a crystal version of the recipient of said fusion, respectively. There are some exceptions to this rule, such as Cowl, Strawk, or the secrets, which use special fusion conditions to "ascend" to higher forms.

- Cards do not lose health by attacking, only by being attacked. One can either aim for the stronghold (kind of the king/hero card, losing it would mean the end of the game) or the warriors with no restrictions whatsoever, I guess it depends on the strategy chosen by the player.

- There are different types of strongholds, each one with different traits and characteristics.

The steps to follow to play are:

1. Create a Dulst account

2. Click this link: https://dulst.com/ftp (or click, then create the account)

3. You get five starter decks, so you can go to "Collection" and arrange them however you want.

4. You can now play. Choose a game mode (most of which I don't know what they exactly are) and enjoy, if it's enjoyable. All of the game modes are like online matches, so it'll look for online players. However, you can play locally using two Chrome profiles, or two different browsers, and probably two different accounts as well.

5. You'll earn a lot of in-game money the first time you play, then I tried to make this difficult and slow-paced, so it'll kind of balance the initial money-shot. This means you'll be able to go to the market and buy some packs of cards. The initial decks are garbage, and with these packs, you'll get rarer FOP characters.

Comment what you think, there's a lot of work left and a lot of room for improvement, but I think this is the first step. Report bugs, possible improvements, and so on as well if you want.

Thank you all.

Dang... I hadn't been here in a while but I saw that Moose had two particular cool collectible figure sets available.  Thought I'd come here and see things bumpin' ... I guess the recession, housing market, job uncertainty, and pandemic has affected everyone's fun and collecting.  Why wouldn't it have?  :-(

Yes, Akedo was one of them.  I just trying looking in my local toy stores and only one had any Akedo at all and it was like only a few of the same set left.  Was I asleep when this was released?  I only just discovered it.  I was hoping for more in store finds vs. heading to eBay right away.  That's part of the fun to me.  Akedo feels like a modern aesthetic update of Milton Bradley's Karate Fighters.

Oh, just, realized the other figure set wasn't even Moose.  Million Warriors by Spin Master.  Not totally sold on the design style but we'll see.  I might get a few targeted ones.

Nothing has quite hit me the way FOP did and even then, I only ever got into FOP late when I saw the clearance bins at Walmart.  Still not thrilled about the whole Series 1 Wave 2 nonsense etc.  At least managed to get a multiples of the blue shadows and repaints which are mostly still sealed except for some display figures.  A few S1W2, and few S2W1.  Really happy I ended up legitimately finding a Xar in pack.

Truly wish I could find a new minifig set to collect that hits the same.  Just give me FOP Series 3 with no waves this time.

Hasn’t Spin Master distributed Moose lines before? It certainly looks like a line with typical Moose design sensibilities. Never heard of that line before now though.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure spin master and moose have been associated in some way in the past. I agree, I haven't been wowed by a line since FOP. I might pull the trigger on both of these new lines but neither one is a must buy for me. Foper alerted me to Akedo a few months back and some of the designs are neat but they aren't FOP.

I truly do not know about the internal/external workings of the companies.    Million Warriors does feel Moose-esque on first glance.  That's why I got confused.

That's kind of how I feel too.  I'd at least want to collect a bunch of the Akedo figures but I don't really need the game itself.  Maybe I'm just really wishing for a new line... something... ANYTHING!

I'll say it again.  Please just give me FOP Series 3 with no waves this time.

I'm just not seeing it.  If someone has the heart/time, how do I navigate archive.org to get all the original character graphics off a past version of fistful.com?
